The privately run winter ski resort is a gem. It is the perfect place for family's that love to ski and appreciate world class amenities. I am convinced that this is the only place in Michigan that gives parents the comfort of knowing that their children are always safe here skiing on their own. My kids were skiing by themselves or with friends, from the time they were 6 yrs old. The staff, lift operators, ski patrollers and members are always on the look out and ready to give a helping hand when needed. I could not fathom how long the winters would be without this place. It's not just the skiing that makes it great, it's the all around experience. Even if you are not a skier, you can still enjoy it. Cross country ski, sled, snowshoe, hike, dine in the great restaurants, sip a Broken Leg at the Log Mark, read by the numerous blazing fires throughout the club-it goes on and on.This place is priceless and worth every bit of the membership. PS. The club is public in the summer for those that love to golf.

Hello and thank you for your comments. We are in the planning process of going through our property and establishing areas where additional signage is needed to better assist our guests. I appreciate your comments because that is an area that I really didn't think of especially from 16 green to 17 tee on The Tribute. Glad you had a nice time and we look forward to your return visit.

Thank you for your review of our golf course The Tribute. We sincerely appreciate all comments regarding our property which will result in efforts to make things better for our guests. Unfortunately a few days prior to your arrival, mother nature left us with 3.5 inches of rain which caused a few bunkers to be deemed unplayable. The Tribute golf course is built on 1100 acres and is 7.5 miles around. With it's vistas, views, tree lined fairways and distances between tees and greens, it is a longer than average course to play. Thanks again for your comments and we look forward to your return visit.

Golfed the Tribute on a beautiful fall day. We found a good price and golfed mid-week. I think that is the best time anyway as there are not as many folks out. Beautiful scenery, fairways kept up nicely even though it is toward the end of the golf season. This course is long and wide for the most part. Lots of traps-some a bit difficult to get out. Nothing outrageous. I think this is a very good, fair, and forgiving course.

Our round took 6 hours which is brutal. We played The Tribute and it is very fair off the tees and has great views. The round was ruined because it took so long to play and we constantly had the group playing after us waiting on our tee and watching our tee-offs which we did not like (though no fault of their own). The whole course was backed up. The course needs to be managed better. There is no way that one should pay a premium price and be forced to endure a 6 hour round.

The Tribute course must be experienced...great design, very well manicured...your cart takes you up side of mountain to 1st tee..NO 2 holes look alike, very playable..staff very humble and helful

This course offers it all. The Clasic is a great place for the average golfer, some challenging holes but wide fairways and easy to spot pins. Little restaurants OK, sometimes crowded and a touch pricey. Mark Hogan is an excellent instructor and the Tribute is a challenging and beautiful course.

What an amazing experience we had on the slopes. Stayed in hilltop and ate at the new Stubli restaurant. What a great concept.... Everything was top notch. Truly outstanding wine list and the river cabin and logmark are not to be missed. So cozy with all the fireplaces everywhere. We had a special dinner on new years eve at the Pontresina which was fantastic. The giant snowflakes outside the window completed the experience for us.

Private ski resort with some days open to the public, check. Great food. Good rooms and wonderful golf open to all in the summer. Restaurants are open to all year round.

Spent three days playing golf and really liked the courses. Two fun, challenging courses right on property but The Black Forest course is about a half hour drive away. Well worth the drive. Golf was enjoyable but wished they would have "unlimited" at this time of year, especially since they weren't busy. Replay rate was $40/person. The courses were really well kept but the resort buildings seemed to be a little dated and in need of a some maintenance. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. There were not a lot of people around at the resort or playing golf. The resort is definitely in a beautiful wooded setting, especially with the fall leaves changing.
