After the frenetic pace of the theme parks, take a trip to Lake Toho.. Peaceful, beautiful and now developed further with a superb promenade around the lake. Coffe outlets , restrooms chidrens play / splash area, tastfully blended into scenery. The lake, in typical sunny florida weather is stunning. Saw several fishing boats out in the lake but unsure if you can "hire" them. For a truely american experience walk away from the lake towards the railway line to watch and hear the trains as they bellow through Kissimmee station.

This very large lake is located right in historic downtown Kissimmee. There is a wonderful walking path that goes for a good distance along the shore, which connects to awesome Lakefront Park. There are many benches along the walkway, with shady palm trees. A lot of fishing spots, that are very popular, along Lakeshore Blvd. Many airboat companies provide rides on Lake Toho (also locally known as West Lake). A large marina near the park provides rentals and fishing charters. I believe swimming is not suggested in this lake, however, due to the number of gators. However, I do know locals who do swim in it!
