While I miss the zoo and train, it's been a pleasure seeing Clinch Park unfold into what it is today. I love the vibrant light green on the bathrooms - now pretty clean for public restrooms and a great size, especially when all those are visiting. There's a snack bar and tables to eat. A local kayak and paddleboard company put a little shack right in the "front yard" to rent and it's great! Best place to rent kayaks, bikes and paddleboards -- the Bike Shop in Sutton's Bay, who I believe now has another shop in Traverse City. Owners have great personalities, know their stuff and friendly! Clinch Park also has this awesome new "water park", a sculpture in a sense, but fun to play in when the water comes on. Ground is made out of recycled tires, so friendly to fall on. A couple other park equipment for the kids to play on.

This park offers some of the best views of both peninsulas. Being that we were here in the fall, you could see the changing leaves across the entire landscape. I'd happily spend summer days here relaxing and enjoying the views. Obviously very family friendly as well.

The new Bijou and other updates & upgrades have made the Park even better than it was. Great views, paths, marina, beach - a real gem.

The city has really transformed the water front. For those of us who started making babies ten years ago, you'll always feel nostalgic for the crappy zoo that was here before... that's where we took our sweet little kids when they were little wee ones... but enough with one winged eagles and half dead bears... they transformed it to a very cool place to hang out... a destination. It's a cool place to ride your bike to, hang out on the water front, let kids run in the splash pad, grab some ice cream. Super big improvement. Way to go City!

I have never visited the Clinch Park until this last weekend and wow was I impressed. The City founders are doing a good job with their shoreline making it beautiful and assessable to the community. The walk along the park is just lovely with a beautiful shelter, bath house and toilets, along with a small concession stand. The beach area is lovely and loaded with lots of sand. This is truly a treasure in the City.

It's a park. What more can someone say? It's a nice park with lots of green space as well as access to the water. The park was clean and looks like the landscape is maintained. It's a short walk from downtown so you can take advantage of the water, and green space yet still take advantage of Front Street.

This was a lovely public beach in downtown Traverse City. There was a metered parking lot right at the beach and you could rent kayaks, etc right there. The only downside was that the water was FREEZING and I mean ice like when we went in late August. We didn't stay as long as we could have because the water was so cold, but there was a nice little ice cream shop with picnic tables and an overhang there and there was also a water playground for kids. It included a big sprinkler and some fountains and a ropes course. There were lots of younger kids, but my 8 & 11 yo girls enjoyed it as well.

We hit Clinch Park mid week on our stay to Traverse City. We enjoyed the spot so much we shuffled things around so we could come back again at the end of the week! The playground was nice, grounds were well maintained. Gorgeous views, of course. The sandy beach was beautiful, had lifeguards, and was not too crowded. There were waves, but is a protected cove so no undertow. Safe swimming for kids. Sandy bottom, with only enough little rocks to collect for fun! There were water toys, kayaks to rent. Kids loved the floating yellow island we rented!! Bathroom and changing facility right near the beach is new and well maintained/clean. We picniced there for lunch as well. One of our favorite stops in the the Traverse City/Leelanau Peninsula area for sure.

didn't swim here but played on the beach and walked the pier. The beach was very clean and sand was full of rocks to gather.

My cousin had his wedding there. It was beautiful. I never knew places like that existed in Michigan.

We picked up lunch in town and brought it out to the park to watch the water and all the people enjoying the park

The splash pad at Clinch Park was what drew us here. I had a family get-together in Traverse City, and my grandchildren absolutely loved the splash pad! Having that nice snack bar nearby was also a welcome addition. The swimming beach area of the park was clean and accommodating for families. The water of the bay was very cold this year, but that certainly can't be helped! All in all, it is a very nice place to take your family.

This is a great park. The town has made awesome use of space right next to Lake Michigan. They have very nice restrooms. It is a great park to take young children to enjoy the water sprinkler park.

I also had lunch there. The veggie burger was good but I wished there was some other bun that the pretzel bun - it's too big!! The coleslaw was yummy.
