Wonderful place to stop for fresh cider (original or flavored!) and yummy treats! Always greeted by a smiling face. Great to watch the cider being pressed in season!

This place has AWESOME donuts fresh out of the oven... The cider is amazing and if you have kids, they can check out how the cider is made! Worth a visit, cute little knickknacks & jellies.

Went to Grandpa's Cider Mill for the first time and had a great time. Great atmosphere.... sat and ate donuts that were fabulous along with hot cider. The press was running and it was so entertaining to watch the entire process. Definitely worth the trip if you have young ones... and old ones. Some of the best cider donuts I have ever tasted. Will definitely be making return visits.

Not what it use to be, went there like we do a couple times a year, this time the cider was frozen thawing in the coolers, wth why woulkd it be frozen and not fresh?!?! Also the carmel apple flavored one had a lot of snotty substance in it, Time for a new place to go for us, prices go up and quality goes down, too bad too, cause we've went there for many years

Last year, we missed the Cider Mill because we came by after the store closed. This year, we were determined to get there before closing. We were not sure what to expect from what externally appeared to be a small country barn. We were wrong! When you walk in, you are stopped in tracks by an out of this world aroma of cider and fresh baked apple pie. This place is so much larger that what is looks like on the outside. The wooded counters and booths are inviting as you sit to began the tastes. On the day we visited, a sweet young lady named Sara, greeted and helped us. We purchased a half gallon of the lime flavored cider as well as red velvet cupcakes. We wished we had purchased a couple of gallons but that's okay because will return next week to purchase more cider, more cupcakes, pies, and preserves.

Stop. Collaborate. Listen.IN THEORY, Grandpa's Cider Mill is an awesome idea. Amazing apple cider is a Michigander's birthright. And when I learned that this place offered a ton of different flavors of cider, I was psyched. Could this unlock new doors to my soul?We strolled up and selected our complimentary three flavors to sample. (It's $1 more for another three.) I was fond of horchata, cherry and blackberry, among others. As I sipped, the wheels started turning in my head. Why had no one else thought to flavor cider this way? And then I asked."We just add flavored syrups to the cider."Cut to: The scene in Fight Club where Edward Norton realizes he is Tyler Durden. Are you KIDDING me?You take delicious, pure apple cider and you just pour a ton of high fructose corn syrup into it? What sense does that make? Why not add real juice from real Michigan cherries and blueberries?Man, I was so let down.Cider is not a sno-cone. It's not a Slurpee. You can't just add syrup like that. It's a mustache on the Mona Lisa. It's Crocs on the Sphinx. This offends me right down to my Petoskey stones. The most ironic thing? I sampled 12 different ciders and never tried straight unadulterated apple. You broke my heart, Grandpa. But, hey, cool metal dinosaurs outside.

Great little family owned business with the absolute best tasting cider, doughnuts, & fresh apple pies.....baked in a bag!! Don't wait for fall to visit....It's just a quick trip off I-94 going to or from Chicago/Detroit. However...In the fall stop for a crunchy, juicy, fresh-picked apple...a taste not matched at the grocers. Local jams, jellys,& honey stock the shelves along with many gift items hard to find in bigger stores. Try a couple of Sarah's "Michigan Bites"...decadent chocolate are my favorite! Enjoy.

Looking for a rest stop we found Grandpa's. Wonderful pies and local honey, jellies and james, etc. Quaint and cute.

Enough said. Eat it. Eat 12 of them!!!!!! They were amazing. The cider bar tastings were interesting but I prefer my cider straight up, no flavors.

You get to see how they make the fresh apple cider while you taste different flavors of apple cider or browse other canned goodies. The baked goods and donuts are very good. It can get crowded on a warm fall weekend but the staff is very friendly and helpful. Stop by in late September or early October and you should have a good time.

For the last few years, we have taken our four grandkids to Jollay Orchards and then a stop at Grandpa's Cider Mill. Must to our surprise it was Harvest Festival at Jollay's and it was packed. For us, who live on pensions, entrance was a little pricey. Admission is $8.50 for adults and for kids. Seniors over 65 were free though. You got a wristband which allowed you access to corn maze, petting area, haunted house but for some reason you only got one ticket to the ferris wheel. All in all, everyone enjoyed themselves, Then it was over to Grandpa's where we bellyed up to the cider bar. Didn't remember being limited to 3 samples last time we were there. They may do that because of the Harvest Festival. Unfortunately our youngest had to use the bathroom, so we had to leave almost as soon as we got there because there were no public restrooms. Didn't buy anything because we had to leave.

Very unique place to visit. Fun for all ages. You can check out the dinosaur farm made by local students. Or watch how apple cider is made. Step on up to the cider bar and try different flavors.

Visited Grandpa's Cider Mill with Martin's Michigan Foodie Tour. Received three blended flavor tastes, two pints of custom blended flavor and three donuts. Cider Bar is a fun and has 22 different flavors. Great dinosaur exhibit outside. Has a viewable cider press. Can't wait to go back in September or October when Jollay Orchards harvests their apples. Great place to take the kids in the fall - Jollay Orchards for apples and pumpkins - to visit the haunted house, take a hay ride, and then taste cider.

This is a great stop, easy to find and cute. You can "belly up" to the cider bar and try the many different flavors of cider, from coconut, cranberry, cherry, and 22 more. I found the cherry wonderful. The smells from the bakery make one ant to site down and eat it all. Pie to go or pie to stay, either way it is pie, homemade and delicious. Outside is a cute dinosaur "garden", very cute metal sculptures.
