If you are truly interested in a functioning hatchery, this is it. They have 4 buildings for each stage of fish. Starting in the visitor center with the eggs then into the racing pools from small to larger fish. This is self guided tour unless you have a group and can plan and call ahead. There is no fishing. If you don't see an answer printed somewhere, ask a worker. There is a very small Michigan garden and picnic area. I recall seeing (but did not venture) some hiking trails which I am sure lead down to the Jordan river. If you are only mildly curious or if you or your kids would like to stick a pole in the narrow pools, or feed fish, check out Grayling fish hatchery instead.
