This incline is pretty small but gives a beautiful view and is worth going to for that alone. There can be a bit of a line though so get ready to wait.

Went at night, and was amazing! With all the lights and traffic goers, it was a sight! Best $5 I've spent. :D

Was so excited to visit that I stopped here first driving into Pittsburgh. Got to the parking area and it was snow covered and blocked off. With no where to leave the car I had to move on. Disappointed!

Great way to see the city and my kids loved it! Would recommend riding at night. You can take beautiful pics of the skyline.

Make sure that you bring cash because they do not take credit card. The fare is five dollars round-trip. Once you get to the top there are some restaurants if you turn left. The restaurants have some nice views. We went during the afternoon and not many were open.we heard that the evening is best because you can see the lights and I'm sure most of the restaurants are open.

THe views going up and coming down are thrilling and once on top worth the trip. Best to park at bottom and go to the top and plan a night at one of the nearby restaurants and then see the lighted city on the way down to your car.

Charming little ride. Staff is friendly and courteous. Inexpensive. Worth going out of your way because of the fantastic views of the three rivers.

There are two incline railways to take you up Mt Washington for a spectacular view over Pittsburgh. The inclines are a great experience of old world engineering.

This is a favorite of the whole family! It takes you slowly up the steep incline which allows for a long look at breathtaking beautiful views of the city as the rivers meet! Esp spectatular at night! Once you get to the top there is a viewing platform before heading back down. Kids and adults love this ride!

Don't miss a ride on the Incline--a spectacular view. The top station has a post card bulletin board of inclines from all over the world and a viewing platform. If you are interested in geology you can imagine the ancient sea that once covered the area you are looking down on and carved into the present day three rivers. If you are interested in mechanics, you can also see the apparatus that operates the machinery for the incline. If you are interested in sports you can see the football stadium and baseball stadium from here. Also, see the Cathedral of Learning off in the distance and a submarine parked on the north side near the Casino. Last but certainly not least, the gleaming modern city alongside the Fort Pitt Block House from the past in Point State Park.

Really neat ride with great views. Spend some time walking around Mt. Washington and look over the City. A low cost activity.

The one thing to do if you are staying in Pittsburgh is try the Duquesne Incline . The old world feel of being in a different time is fantastic. The price is right and you can do a round trip just for the fun of it.

The Incline runs from the top of Mount Washington down to Station Square. It offers the most beautiful views of the city, especially "The Point," where the 3 Rivers meet. It is definitely worth the experience and kids will love it, too.

If you're in Pittsbugh and can only do three things, one of them should be riding at least one of the inclines Both of them are on the same stretch of road. I think this one has the best views, but that's just a matter of opinion. If you're interested, the other two must do's is having a sandwich at Primanti's Brother in the Strip District and seeing a nationality room at Pitt's Cathedral of Learning (and I'm a DuQuesne Alum).

If you haven't been on the incline, go. The view from the top overlooking Pittsburgh will make you realize that you are visiting a very pretty city, AND THE RIDE IS FUN,
