We didn't allow enough time to see everything, but what we saw was interesting, well displayed, informative, and much of it was just fun. The working water wheel, the Conestoga wagon, the old trolley car ... oh there is a lot. You have to respect a museum where the display items are leaking oil onto the floor. These are the real things, many of them work. I would definitely go back for more. Good for kids.

Nice museum on industrial history. They did a great job turning an old downtown factory into a good museum and a great space for events. Hands on displays for kids and working machinery to thrill everybody.

Took a drive to purchase some weights and it was a cool experience. Found everything I needed and picked up a few things that I can't wait to use, even picked up a couple gifts. The guy at the store "Mark" has a lifetime of knowledge, friendly and gave us a few tips that are sure to help. The museum area is cool and be sure not forget to look up at the art in the main entrance, it's awesome. It was worth the drive from Delaware and we will do it again for sure. Getting there was cool, too. The leaves were falling and it was a great day. We were tight on time so we didn't see all of the things on exhibit but that gives us an excuse to go back. If your into lifting it's worth the stop.

We got a discount for being members of the CAA (Canadian version of the AAA). The museum has info on transport, farming, printing, small and large machinery and other unique things like porcelain teeth! Stayed for 2 hours and it was well worth the visit

Started out as just a pop-call visit, 2 hours later we decided it was well worth our time to see. Learned about the early history of this area. Much more than we expected from a local museum. We recommend you consider visiting this site when in the area.

I've been to the museum for a banquet, fish fry and recently for a wedding. I really enjoyed the museum and the displays are very nice. It don't know if the caters used were booked privately or through the museum. I had a greatly good meal and not so good meal. Also be warned if you are booking a large group their banquet space is limited. My brother- in-law was unhappy that the guest at his daughter's wedding were split and the group on the balcony could not hear or see the wedding activities downstairs.

We recently visited the Agricultural & Industrial Museum while staying in York for a weekend. We were looking for something to pass the time while we waited to check into our hotel. My husband loves historical museums and this gem did not disappoint! The focus of the museum is the local Industry and Agriculture in the York area from the early 1900s to present day. We spent over two hours in the museum and would return again when visiting the York area.

A real hidden treasure. As Yorkers, we tend to ignore local things like this and fly thousands of miles to see something just like it. But pretending to be tourists, we stopped in and loved it. It's the equal of any museums at larger, more popular stops. If you're anywhere close to York, stop here.

We went on a weekday, when the kids had off for presidents week (which PA schools do not take the week off for). Other than a mother with her child, we were the only ones there. Large, clean, up to date, and loads to see - everything from printing presses to old cars to rotary phones. The rotary phones were cool because they had actually set up an "old style" Central Office - complete with the old style clacking relays. They had some of them open - you could actually watch them work as you dialed a number. Even had an old operators station. Kids could touch all. Only weakness of the place is not a lot to read - descriptions tended to be a bit brief or non-existent. Also, placing a paragraph about a car ON THE CAR, and making the font 12 point, makes it hard to read. Place is reasonably priced. I would have paid more for either a guide or at least an audio tour to provide more info. Overall, you will want to check it out. They have a very large mix of exhibits, so there is something there for everyone.

My family visited the Agricultural and Industrial Museum on Museum Day Live! in September. It had been a while since my last trip here, and they have expanded it since. Part of the formerly open area had been roofed over, and a nice selection of antique automobiles was housed there. My father made an excellent personal tour guide, as he was born and raised here. We enjoyed seeing the working water mill as well as opening the safe to get the "funny money". Having worked in the printing industry, I marveled at the room full of ancient drawers full of metal type! There is another room filled with giant machinery. I mean HUGE! We were just as intrigued at how the machines were constructed as what they were designed to do!Take the family or your colleagues here for a unique educational experience. Learn about York's great past that shaped its present day industry!Clean restrooms and a gift shop are also on the premises.

Liked the variety of different exhibits they had. The telephone section was interesting to my kids (ages 8 and 10), they did not know how to use a rotary dial phone!

Very nice layout, a lot of exhibits to see and not overly crowded. Get the combo ticket with the Heritage Trust museum for the best deal.Had some kid-friendly exhibits and "hands-on" pieces so the young ones didn't get bored.

There is so much to see here - lots of historical information about many industries in the area, what is made and how it is made. There is also information about farming, and some farm equipment made locally is on display
