First things first, 113 Tunkhannock Township Drive is not the GPS address for the park. It is for the township building so don't come all this way to shoot past the park by several miles. The park is located where Routes 92 and 6 meet. Plug this into your GPS. Now that you can get there you are free to bring fishing poles or picnic supplies or just a pair of walking shoes. It is a very nice park and a nice resting spot if you travel to see the nearby Tunkhannock Viaduct (Nicholson Bridge). When we were there we saw a metal detector club having fun and a birthday party so you may want to check the events calendar before you go. Also, the local Perkins has a very nice view from the dining area if you don't want to eat at the park.

Lazy Brook is what a park should be - picnic spots, playgrounds, walking paths, water, swimming, fishing, relaxing. It is often host to local music festivals and food/wine festivals in warm weather. I use it as a take out point for kayaking. Plan an afternoon here soon!

I have been fishing Tunkhannock Creek located in Tunkhannock, Pa. for over 50 years. Back in the late 70's I had the pleasure of meeting some folks who live in a fairly large development located on the shores of Tunkhannock Creek. This is a picture Tour of the Grounds that is now called 'LAZY BROOK PARK.' The park is maintained by Tunkhannock Township with the financial support of local Individuals, Clubs, Groups and Corporations.
