Flea market, food, candy, great hot pretzels, meat, produce, chicken and so much more. Only open on the weekend. Too much to see. Wear your walking shoes. Didn't have much time so I will be going back soon. Don't miss this place if your in the area.

If your looking for produce and bakery goods Morningstar maybe your place. It hard to really say what Morningstar really is? It's a flea Market? It's a produce market? It's a meat market? It's a bakery shop? It's a food court? It's all of the above and a little more, so if your in York, PA on the Weekends for it is only open on the Weekends, stop by for you won't be sorry.

If you are in the York Pa area a short drive on route 30 will take you to the market. Open on weekends only..You can find a little bit of everything from fresh produce to meat..seafood ..bakery ..candy..and lot s of places to enjoy a good lunch.. You can even get snacks from a local pretzel outlet at good prices..this is just for starters you still have the flea market to browse through. Take comfortable shoes...and enjoy your day and bargains you may find.. not far fro the Gettsburg area stay on route 30. Worth the trip

For years I have patronized Morningstar Marketplace when I visit my parents who live in the area. It is a farmers' and flea market hybrid, with consistently high-quality fresh produce, meat and baked goods. Particularly if you are new to the area, this is a great place to sample local favorites, or do your weekly shopping for some of the finest local farm products provided primarily by Amish and Mennonite families. The flea market portion of the market is as you would expect it to be - a collection of everything imaginable, from antiques and valued collectibles to newer and overstock items, books, toys, you name it! It is particularly fun to check out the tables before Christmas - great stocking stuffers! The market has ample parking and is open year round, though Sunday mornings are not the best time to go if food is your objective - since a large number of farm families observe the Sabbath, and do not open their stands on that day. Check the market website for times and dates of operation, to avoid disappointment, and be aware that early mornings are when knowledgeable locals do their shopping for the best selection. Bring your appetite, some shopping bags and enjoy!

Lots of vendors, have to stop inside and pick up some sticky buns from the Amish family inside building 2, I think. Bring a cooler there is Sensings meats greatest quality around. Have lunch also the food all over the market is to die for. Have always found a bargin and a pretty good parking spot. You will get your exersize in. It is handicapped freindly.

Husband is more of a flea market fan than I am!! He loved looking at all the used treasures!! (junk!) There were stands with new stuff for sale too. Some bargains! I bought very nice sheet set for cheap!! The food building has lots of different stuff!! The homemade chip stand is awesome and the candy store is amazing!! The fresh fruit stands are nice!! It probably is VERY nice if you like hours at a flea market! :)

My wife and I head out each Saturday and let the breeze take us where it wants. Recently, we stumbled upon the Morningstar Marketplace. Lots and lots of antiques, food, produce, and, well junk - it is a flea market, now :o)Regardless, we're now regretting not having made purchases at the amish bakery - some of the most decadent pastries and pies we've ever seen - they looked wonderful. The place is huge so if you really want to take advantage of it, I'd schedule two, to three hours to take full advantage of your visit. We're definitely going back primarily to get some hanging baskets which were priced at a mere $20. Can't touch that price in Northern Virginia (we live in Loudoun, VA). And, I'm sure we'll budget in time to grab a bite to eat - huge diversity of food.http://www.morningstarmarketplace.net/

Great place to stop by and look for almost anything. You can spend an entire day their and not see everything that is being sold. From Sheds to Food, it all seems great and I have bought many things from their. Good place to stop by and look for a gift for someone you can't seem to decide on what to get.

This weekend market is open year round and is a great place to visit and buy local products. It has several buildings which are interconnected with a wide range of vendors. Some of the stands include food, baked goods, butcher shops, vegetables, and other assorted vendors. Some stands are run by Amish/Mennonite. This market is unique in that it has a large antique section. In the warmer months there are a large number of vendors selling an assortment of items outside. Sometimes you can find really good items outside and sometimes you don't. If you are in the area give itbavtry.
