Huge place with extensive collection of Potter County artifacts. Absolutely the best historical tour we have had anywhere. One of largest collections I've seen; I'd compare their collection to a state museum. If you want your kids to learn about PA history, beyond the textbooks & to TOUCH some bits of history... I highly recommend!Lumber, weaving looms, Civil War rifles, tons of old toys (amazing display of carved moving toys!), music (instruments, phonograph & old records), baseball, firefighters, animals, blacksmith, tanning, irons (several types!), glass & what all those odd shaped pieces are for, tile, rural postal service carriage... Soo much! We plan to visit again when we are in the area.Free; donations appreciated. Series of steps throughout. They might have an elevator, but I didn't see one.

We loved it here. When we arrived the normal guide wasn't there but the chap (and am so sorry didn't get his name) who works in the office let us in and showed us around. He was brilliant and we actually spent nearly 2 hours in there! Room after room of amazing collections of various things from uniforms to wooden carvings, history of area to gramophones-just really eclectic collection. My favourite was a massive mini fairground carved from wood that all moved and a carrousel too-amazing amount of work. If your in this area please do visit here, there is no entrance fee-just donations welcome if you havd the means
