I went here with some friends and was pleased right away. The winery is in a big old barn, which I loved right away. The staff was friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed the view there. We enjoyed the oven-fired pizza and fruit/cheese tray. There really is not a huge assortment of food here. If that is what you are looking for I would recommend moving on. But they have live music on occasions and it's just a neat place to visit with friends. The wine is delicious!

We visit Lago almost every week. The food is exceptional although limited....cheese tray is awesome, white garlic pizza is to die for and the wine is wonderful. It maybe slightly over priced but the aura makes up for it. You may have to get your own food if they are busy but the staff works hard to keep it all flowing. The patio is excellent, downstairs even better. The last review is somewhat unfair as we have never found the staff rude or less than friendly. I wish they were open every day! The wines are tasty and the surroundings are very relaxing.

Sorry, there is no other way to describe it! The wait staff was rude at best and insulting at worst. There was no rhyme or reason to their "system" if you can call it that. When we finally realized we were going to have to do it ourselves if we wanted to get anything at all, our party of 10 waited on ourselves. Can't tell you anything about the wine(I am a wine lover) because, as I told my wife, I am not going to kiss someone's rear(no wine list etc.) to taste their wine. Food was good to very good but was overpriced.

We visited several wineries in eastern OH and Erie PA. Lago had the best wine. A very relaxing setting to enjoy life. We told our friends also visiting the area and they went the next day. They loved it too. They don't ship their product yet, but when they do I will order a dozen bottles.

We recently visited this winery near Pymatuning Lake in Pennsylvania. We enjoyed an oven-fired pizza with some of their wine as we listened to a local band. We loved the breeze as we sat outside on the patio. We'll be back!

Truly a get away! Epic environment with high quality food and wine. Pizza is very good! Always looking forward to their add ons like the upcoming brewery!

Lago, which means lake in Italian, is a little slice of Tuscany in western Pennsylvania. Located in Jamestown the winery and guesthouse are situated on a hillside where the only things missing are the cypress trees. The guesthouse, with its locally obtained stone facade, is reminiscent of a Tuscan villa. The wines, both sweet and dry, are all very good, as are the food selections. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Cozy barn setting with great wine & brick oven pizza. I would definitely recommend this winery. Enjoying the scenery as you sip a glass/bottle of one their wines. I cannot wait for the shop and brewery to open.

When we lived by the lake we would visit the winery. The atmosphere was very comfortable. You felt as if you known workers and visitors for years. So much enjoyment. The wine is of the most excellent I've ever tasted. A lot of work, love and dedication went into the making of the wines and the selections of wines. The food actually gives you the delightful taste of Italy and the surroundings are amazing. Even though we have moved from the lake.....nothing will keep us from going again and again. This is a must go to place.

I first encountered Lago Winery as a subcontractor. I am a professional musician and was contacted by Lago to perform at their winery. I have performed there an average of once per month over the last 3 years and everyone from the booking agent to the wine staff to the cooks has been pleasant, professional and courteous. The setting is beautiful. The ambiance is relaxed and natural. Each time that I would perform at Lago, more of my family and friends would come to the winery. Everyone had such a good time there that when our daughter was leaving for a year teaching in France, she asked if we could have a bon voyage party at Lago, which we did. We had about 60 people attend throughout the day and invariably, every one of them loved the place. I highly recommend a trip to Lago WInery. Try to come on a day that I'm performing thereand I'll try to make it even more enjoyable!Peace!Steve Vuich

We loved the winery the first visit to the last visit. We try to go once a week. The wine is very reasonable, they give you a full glass too! We always get a white garlic pizza (tried the others but this is our favorite) and ALWAYS get a cheese plate. Pizza is made in a wood fired converted silo. Everything is yummy. The atmosphere is so relaxed. It is one of our favorite places. Make sure you go upstairs to see the stained glass window and I really like their tin in the bathroom. The patios both up and down are great.

A rustic barn, lovely countryside, delicious pizza fresh from a wood fired oven located in a converted silo. Interesting winery providing entertainment for our lakeside community.A locally owned enterprise thriving...well done!

We first visited this winery last year and really enjoyed the setting and wine. We returned this year and visited twice during our weekend visit. Both times we had a great experience. The ambiance of the winery is key. Beautiful inside and outside setting with a reclaimed farm makes you feel like you are in Tuscany rather than Pymatuning Lake. Tried the white pizza with added basil~we loved. Enjoyed the meat and cheese tray...the cheese was very tasty and great dipping oil and bread. Will return again!
