There were several buildings to tour, we only went to two. The volunteers were very informative and wanted to talk and explain what they had there to see. I liked that it was free, we did give to the donation box, but if your a large family or on a budget, it's a nice little place.

The Mechanicsburg Museum offers various themes through the year. We took our grandchildren to the model railroad the museum displays over the holidays. There is interaction as people of all ages can push buttons to make cars move at the drive in, have the fire truck move in and out of the fire station, Santa Claus fly over the mountain and more. We've gone to many displays over the years. A salute to the local police department, a racing display honoring Williams Grove Speedway, etc. The museum is small however, they do a lot to promote the history of Mechanicsburg. If you are from the area stop in. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
