We saw a Diana Krall concert here, Very historic and reminded me of a theatre in Bethlehem where I use to go see movies. Beautiful stage with movie screen and curtains, excellent condition, beautiful remodeling to keep the old flair intact. Seats were comfortable. Cool place to see a concert.

Last night was the first time I had ever visited the F.M Kirby. The building, its furnishings and fixtures are all classic 1938, a true preserved work of art.The staff, seating and services were all top notch. Can't wait to return again.

Acoustically perfect, clean, friendly staff, well-maintained. Not a bad seat in the house, no sight obstructions! This theater is amazing. Great restaurants near-by. Plenty of local hotels to choose from. Small airport just 15 minutes from theater...Interstate 81 is minutes from theater. It's just perfect! And...they get great shows.

The theater is special because you can see great entertainers in a small venue. Prices are reasonable with a wide variety of shows to chose from. The theater itself has the Old World charm like the ones on Broadway along with a good sound system. We manage to catch a show at least 4 times a year. Parking is always easy for in and out access. It certainly is a big plus for the City of Wilkes-Barre.

Me and my boyfriend went to this venue to see a concert. It was beautiful ! The venue is on the smaller side but that meant for a great concert. Every seat in the house was good. It was very intimate. I would totally recommend going to see a show here.

The Kirby is a great experience to watch a foreign film, see a concert, or even a place to have a private party, The volunteers are kindly and helpful, and the lobby is a reminder of the class the area used to and still can have. Jerry Seinfeld, Elvis Costello or just a movie: the auditorium delivers with its sound system and lighting.

I was there for a university event and I really was impressed with the venue. Very cozy and nice. The location is excellent as it's right down o Public Square.

Theatre presents wide range of entertainment, prices are good for area. Inside needs some sprucing up, bathrooms on upper levels needed. Parking garages all around so that's not an issue.

Excellent seats from any view. Well kept. Excellent service. Only concern is they don't bring enough shows. A true gem .

Recently saw a Jimi Hendrix tribute at the Kirby Center. Aside from the lack of enough bathrooms, it really is a great venue to see a show. It has a nostalgic feel which went well with this particular show. I will be watching for future shows at this venue.

We adore the F.M. Kirby Center! It is nostalgic, beautiful and a well maintained gem of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Honestly, there is not a bad seat anywhere, tickets are always affordable and the ushers are so helpful and I love the red jackets. The Kirby Center hosts all types of entertainment from the Opra to comedians and top performers, musicals and anythign else you can imagine.

As long as the sound crew doesn't overdo the volume, it really sounds good here. Just saw American Idiot the other day and it sounded awesome. Saw Alice Cooper a few weeks ago, and it sounded like crap. Alice was great, tho. I like center mezzanine, if I can get it. Floor is OK, if you're in the front third or so. I always go for upstairs.

I have just recently started going to this theatre even though I have lived close to it all of my life. Now that I have found this gem, I feel like I will continue to visit it as frequently as possible. I have seen several concerts and other shows here over the last few months. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound was excellent. The stage was nicely located. The ushers are wonderful. Security was on the ball. The prices of some of the concessions was a little pricey, but that is to be expected for this type of venue. I would like to see some other types of shows come to this facilty. There is not always preformers that I would be interested in seeing at this site. Overall, it is a nice place. Parking can sometiems be an issue, but it is in the middle of the city. There are parking garages local, but some of them can be a little shady.
