Went to this place and was amazed at the restoration of this theater. Really takes you back especially with price and ambience. All the Staff are well turned out with Bow Ties and vests. Reflects a respectful quality to the theater. Saw Fury with Brad Pit and the sound was awesome throughout the theater. We sat near the back which was about 75 feet or so from the screen and view of the movie was still spectacular.I would go back to this amazing theater anytime.

Since discovering this wonderful one-screen theater a few years ago, my husband and I have NOT gone anywhere else to see a movie! The Grand is a beautifully restored 1924 theater with fully functioning antique popcorn machine and theater organ. Their first-run movies tend only to be animated features; all other movies have played elsewhere for weeks before the Grand gets them. But at only $5 per person, who cares?! For less than $20, BOTH of us can see a move and eat popcorn and candy. The Grand does a lot of events for the community, collects food pantry donations, and has just the nicest staff ever. They also have special showings of old holiday films at Christmas, actual 1920's silent movies during the summer, and annual showings of Rocky Mountain Horror Show. It's a great place, and we vote it the best movie theater ever!

This is an awesome place - the renovations are beautiful - sound system is superb - a true hidden gem - you feel like you are stepping back in time and the price - well they are also back in time making this an excellent place for couples and family's alike.

This remodeled theater leaves you with a warm and comfortable feeling for the past. The employees are not only dressed in period theater uniforms, they're friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of admission. Also, when I got the total for our refreshments. I could take our grand kids to the stand and not worry about the cost. From its beautiful decor, to the comfortable seating, it's worth the trip. It's obvious that the owner took the time to research how theaters looked back in the heyday of movies and the comfort of the customers. We sat in the small balcony on one visit this summer, and the kids loved it! It's awesome!! However, it doesn't matter where you sit because the theater has excellent seating everywhere. It's more than worth the effort to check their listings for upcoming shows. They may not always have the movies as soon as they're available, but it's definitely worth waiting to see them.

Me and a friend were driving back the long way from Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania. We were going through East Greenville down route 29 and boom there it was. We parked and bought tickets just as a movie was starting. The popcorn is great and the refreshments are priced like it was the 1970's!!! As is the ticket to get in. Truly a lucky find!

So far as movie selections go, it is very limited. This is not the movie metroplex of today. In regards to service, ambience and experience quality, it is top notch. The Grand is a restored, old time theatre. The owner has obviously gone to great pains to recreate a bygone experience that most people under 50 might have never experienced. From the uniformed ushers and ticket takers, to the seating, shorts before the show, concessions and more, I felt like I was on the set of an old movie. The Grand is really about a movie experience, and not just sitting in a room watching the latest superhero flick.Give this place a try, particularly if you can go during one of their special events. It is just such a neat place to experience, and the owner deserves a big up for making the effort to restore a quickly fading piece of our movie past.

Good thing there's this place, or we'd hardly ever see movies in the theater! It is sooo cute inside. So old fashioned yet clean and modern...I love the employees in their old fashioned theater uniforms. I love the small consession counter. And most of all....I love the PRICES!!! We brought relatives from Ohio here last year and they LOVED it. They couldn't stop raving about how cute it was and how lucky we were to have it in our neighborhood. Just love this place. It's worth the wait to see the latest movies a month late! It's either this, or Redbox these days! We prefer THIS!

This is a must visit theater. Great theater. Super clean. Affordable. Classic charm. This is how movie watching should be done.

The Grand Theater is a beautiful one room theater/cinema. It has kept its vintage charm but with current movies. The seats are comfortable and perfect for children. The refreshments are more than affordable although the popcorn is not very good. I love that I can take a family of four for under $40. They also have a balcony area seating but it is not comfortable. I love this theater and will always return.

As a family of 5, we don't go to the movies often. It's expensive, the kids beg for treats, and the megaplex cinemas often have a not-very-family-friendly atmosphere. We were thrilled to learn about the Grand Theatre is East Greenville, PA. It's a short (20 minute) drive from the Lehigh Valley area, and on-street parking was plentiful. The building is beautiful. I loved the antiques featured throughout the building, and it truly felt like an special event rather than just "going to the movies." We arrived about 35 minutes before showtime, and did end up waiting outdoors for a few minutes before the theatre opened. But it was worth it to be in the front of the line, because the theatre was nearly full by showtime.Admission for matinees is $3. Yes. $3. Which means my whole family bought tickets with a $20 bill - and I got change. Unheard of at any other movie theatre!Concessions were affordable and tasty. We decided to splurge and let the kids each pick a candy and a drink, as well as buying a large popcorn for the family to share. Again, less than $20! And the kids were thrilled with the selection. Candy was about $2.50, drinks were $2, and a large popcorn (made in their antique popcorn popper) was only $3. It was a thrill to watch the curtains open as the movie started. I loved our little step into the past! Next time, we really hope to be able to try sitting in the balcony area; however, it was booked for a private party during this visit. I also picked up a flyer about renting the theatre for private parties. For $75/hour you can rent the theatre and play XBOX games on the giant screen! What a cool idea!

Ed Buchinski and his partner have completely renovated this old theater in the Upper Perkiomen area and have state-of-the-art sound! New hits are there early in their run but admission is just $5 in the evening and even less for matinees! Even their concession stand is easy on the budget!

You would not expect such a beautiful place as the grand in the triborough area of east Greenville, red hill, and Pennsburg. Friendly service, reasonable prices, nearly new movies. A shining light for this area.
