My family and I went here out of curiosity. We saw an old movie that we were familiar with but it was the first time my kids had seen it on a theater big screen. The theater and facilities are clean, the chairs comfortable and the staff pleasant. Even if you don't order food to eat during the movie, others in the theater will and so be prepared for lots of servers walking back and forth disrupting your movie viewing. Be prepared for the smells and sounds of food being eaten while you are trying to watch your movie. Expect that if you do order food, the server will come back DURING the movie and ask you to process your credit card and sign the bill IN THE DARK. How am I supposed to figure out a tip in a dark theater? I asked to do this after the movie was over but this necessitated a conversation while I was trying to watch the movie. My kids ordered desserts which were on the small size considering the price and were mediocre in quality. So, why would I put myself through the inconvenience of watching a movie here for not great food? We haven't been back since. So much better to get take out and eat it in the comfort of our own home in front of the big screen tv. Any movie that you really care about watching should be seen elsewhere.

Great atmosphere, comfortable seating and excellent selection of food and beverages. The service is on par with a respectable dining establishment especially the speed with bringing your selections.

Movie tavern is great, you can sit down, order food, and watch a great movie. The food is decent pub food, but it's more about the experience. Love going here, it just fills up fast, so the negative is tight seating for newer movies.

Took my mom and three nieces to Movie Tavern this past weekend. The seats are large and very comfortable with a large drink holder on the side and a movable tray for your food. Menu has a decent selection, but it's tough to read as they dim the lighting. We ordered food right from our seats. There's one person who takes your order (our server was CJ, and she couldn't have been nicer), but there are numerous others who bring the food and drinks. Those people got everything wrong. I was given a sprite when I ordered a coke. My one niece had ordered chicken fingers and was handed macaroni & cheese. In fact, they even brought food that belonged to the people two rows down. I figured it's dark and hard to see so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Once our food and drinks were situated, the movie started. It was then that I realized the servers were doing the same thing to everyone....people were turning down items that they hadn't ordered, servers walking all over trying to find the rightful owners, and just lots of noise for what should be a quiet theater. At this point, I was slightly annoyed. Granted, the chaos eventually died down, and we were all able to enjoy our meals and the movie, but it was very distracting at first. I can't say that I wouldn't go back because it's definitely a fun way to enjoy a movie. Hopefully the servers get their acts together for the next time!

Drove 45 miles to try this place out, Signed up and got a free small popcorn coupon too. Our Waiter was the absolute worst and sneaky person I ever met. I ordered a coffee, and a popcorn, my wife a cheese cake and popcorn. Coffee came after 20 minutes and repeated reminders. It was stone cold, took 10 minutes to get him back and he kept it for another 10 minutes, this time was luke warm. The one popcorn came with the coffee, and the second one came 20 minutes later again after reminding him. My wife's cheesecake came 1 hour into the movie, again after trying to find this "waiter". During the movie he drops off the check, and comes back 2 minutes later to pick it up in total darkness. can't read anything. Most people held it for a while to read the check by cell phone light. I put down a $20. for a 11.00 bill, tha'ts the last we saw of him. When the movie was over and the lights came on there we were and 4 other couples wondering where their change was. (one was $8 and they left a $20 ).. the waiter was nowhere to be found. Now another couple came up and said they were double charged on some items and left a credit card. Took us 5 minutes to find a "manager", Mr white. He could care less, and after finding the waiter walking around , when confronted he claimed we all told him to keep the change, an outright lie verified by all the couples. Some people were so mad they wanted to call the police.Mr White double talked everybody and gave back the change. I was so annoyed I contacted the corporate office in Texas. Well that was just as bad, this place is owned by investors and not customer oriented at all. Called the number, only had a answering machine with prompts that don't work and customer service prompt gets you to the HR person voice mail. After 10 days she still never returned my call and I am sure never will. Mr white did email me the next day admitting the issues, offering all kinds of free stuff which he never sent, just made me go away. Seems like too many people covering up over there andit's the last they see of us. PS the food stunk.

The seats were very comfortable but if you want to enjoy a movie without all the distractions of servers walking across the viewing area then go to a movie theater. If you go to the movie tavern, then definitely stay away from sitting in the rows in the middle of the room.

It was the best movie place that I ever been to & really enjoyed it & was able to watch a movie without having to deal with people not be respectful & rude I would advice everyone to give it a try also you can order food right at your seats & they serve you right there which I think is awesome so go give it a try for yourself & see.

The only way to watch movie. The food is good, the drinks are cold, and the seats are awesome! This should have been brought about sooner!

Comfy leather seats and food is good. I like that it's a one stop shop for date night. They serve alcohol and have a bar inside. Also, the shopping center is nice to walk around before or after the movie.

This is the best development in movie-going since the drive-in! Big comfortable seats, food, and drinks. Movie Tavern has brought the fun in going to the movies back to life!

Dinner and a movie all wrapped up in one. No need to worry about slow restaurant service. Dinner menu fairly diversified. Options are simple but tasty. Offers both non-alcoholic and alcopholic beverage choices. Great relaxed night out.

I've been to the Movie Tavern on several occasions and found it enjoyable. The seats are large and comfortable and the food is bar type, with a little variety, from salads, to wraps. You can also just get popcorn or dessert, or nothing to eat and just have a comfy seat to sit in an watch the movie. A word of warning, you need to get there about 30 min. or more before the show to get a good seat and if it is a popular movie many people get their tickets online and have them printed out ahead which is a good idea so as not to get there and find it sold out. Especially good idea when bringing children!

We prepurchased our tickets for the opening night 7:20 showing of Lucy. (Good thing too because it was sold out when we arrived 45 minutes before show time)We found our seats 3rd row from the screen because all of the main seating was already filled. We were immediately greater by our server who took the time to explain how the call-server button works and take our drink order. We waited almost 15 minutes for our beverages to come out. The drinks were good and had an adequate amount of alcohol in them to make the $10 a glass drink price seem fair. We ordered nachos - delicious, cookies - dry, and a free popcorn - not great. I wouldn't go back for the simple reason that the server came by while the movie was running to drop off the check, then ask if the check was ready, and again to pick it up. I did not appreciate having constant interruptions while trying to enjoy the movie and would rather go to dinner than a movie separately. The whole night cost $100 for a family of 4.

I have heard of the concept before but after experiencing normal theater food and prices I had stayed away. But when my eldest son and his best friend told me how amazing it was I tabled my opinion and planned to go someday. Well my birthday came up and we couldn't find something new and different to do. I was tired af going to a restaurant, then a movie theater and ending the night at an ice cream place. I wanted a special night. So I remembered The Movie Tavern and my sons comments. I went to their website and saw something from out of a movie. it looked like more than a film and some overpriced poorly prepared food. I saw style in the old cinema design. I saw a listing of feature new films and well as some revival movies. I looked over a menu that could be from a popular bistro. I trembled in fear before glancing at the prices and was relieved to see that they were in line with a normal nice casual restaurant. Even the drink menu looked like a nice tavern menu. Well I said to myself anyone can fill their website with amazing stock pictures but could a theater pull off an experience. I buttoned down my skepticism and told my wife and adult aged children my idea. They were so relieved that I finally picked something that they quickly consented to give it a try. My eldest swore that I wouldn't be disappointed. We purchased our tickets online which was a good thing because they are smaller theaters and sell out most of the time. When we arrived we were greeted by a fascia reminiscent of an old 40's or 50's movie house complete with bright lights and neon. We entered to a clean foyer and converted our computer receipt at a kiosk into our tickets. They have a beautiful bar area if your film isn;t being seated yet so you can wait in comfort. We arrived right on time and were sent right in. As we handed in our tickets we were given menus. we headed to our theater and I saw wait staff carrying trays of real food that looked and smelled delicious. We sat ourselves in comfortable lounge chairs and were approached by our smiling server Brandy who greeted us and asked if this was our first time here. My eldest told her that he had been there before but the rest of us are newbies. She explained the procedure and asked if we would like a few minutes or were we ready to order something to drink? She took our drink order on a palm pilot and sent our drinks into the system. She then asked if we would like any appetizers? We looked at the menu luxuriating in the abundant foot room,(My sons are 6 foot 3 and 6 feet tall) My size is more width than height but the wide seats had ample room for my ampleness. We ordered an appetizer to split and also our meals. She left for a moment and returned with our drinks. They were large and delicious from Strawberry slushee to the milkshakes amazing. Shrtly after that our food arrived and it also was excellent. We didn't even notice that the previews and ads were rolling and pur movie time was approaching. Before the lights dimmed and another round of drinks appeared she let us know that she would come around during the movie to see if we needed anything. Also there was a call button on each of our seats if a need arose between her visits. I sat back as the lights dimmed with my real butter popcorn and delicious sweet tea and watched our movie. The quality of sound and video were excellent and every twenty minutes Brandy would come by and check of us. Drinks were refilled and with the seat spacing no one was bumping the back of my chair and the servers could easily go by without my extended feet tripping them. Near the end of the movie the check arrived and was spirited away without disturbing the movie. I was actually heartbroken when the movie ended and we had to take our almost overstuffed carcases out of the theater and head back home. I highly recommend this for a couple or a group of friends. They have a kids menu but unless your children are used to nice dining it may be a little much for youngsters. Teens and adults should be overwhelmed by the experience. As we left we became determined to keep pur eyes out for the next good film that we could enjoy at The Movie Tavern.
