I have never doubted the reviews I have seen on tripadvisor. So I won't doubt them now. However, I will share my experience. I received a gift certificate from my daughter to go to Hygea. (Thanks Honey!) It was a couples certificate for me and my wife. We had done some research and saw the reviews, so we were a bit skeptical but open minded. We made the appointment and were greeted well when we came in. We started out with a session in the salt room. It was very clean and relaxing. The no gravity recliners were comfortable. We have the same kind on our deck and yes, they are like beach chairs but very suitable for on the salt. We then did a couples massage with our masseuse and masseur. They were great! Juliet and Tom were mature, professional and experienced. We have been in many resorts and cruises and have had many massages. I will say that this was one of the best I have ever had. If you are looking for the posh and extravagance of a big resort, Hygea is not for you. If you enjoy a salt room and a wonderful massage, this is a great place! The only thing that I might say to the owners to make the experience better would be to fix the noisy exhaust fan in the salt room. It was hard to relax and distracting with that thing clanging. I truly believe that Hygea is listening to the reviewers. The salt is not in buckets, the employee's are friendly, and the massage we had was fabulous. Give this place a shot!

My wife & I were visiting family in Enola & our sister in law mentioned she had heard about this salt room. We jumped on Groupon, bought our coupons & made appts for a couple hrs later. The employees were quiet but friendly. She asked if we had experienced a salt room before, which we had not, so she explained what we were about to do.Once we got bare footed & stepped in, it felt like we were walking at the beach. You could also keep your shoes on & wear booties. We laid down in zero gravity chairs & giggled a while about the whole idea of what we were doing. We stared at the green laser type lights on the ceiling & could hear calming music. The employee then lowered the lights & closed the door. We whispered for a couple minutes so we wouldnt disturb the other woman in there. Beyond that omg I couldnt even tell you because we all PASSED OUT ASLEEP!! We almost instantly relaxed & breathed in the salty treated air. Absolutely worth the $13 Groupon but I would have paid full price. After bragging on Facebook about how our sinuses felt noticeably better, a friend from home said we have one locally. Ill definately check it out. Also I have a friend with Cystic Fibrosis that I quickly mentioned how wonderful it was & she already had plans to seek the benefits of salt room treatments.

Hahaha, This place is a joke. The salt room is a disappointment, it consists of black cheap chairs that vibrate and the vibration makes you sick because of the poor quality of them.. The Himalayn Salt is in flower buckets!! haha seriously, its stupid. Then for the massage, there is no way they are certified.. What an experience.

Terrible terrible place! Got my mother a Mother's Day certificate to use as well and her experience was just as bad as mine. Massage was nothing special- are they even certified?! Salt room session was nothing spectacular either...and both my mother and I agree that the blonde, elderly lady in the front lacks a lot of customer service skills- not friendly and acted as if I was more of an inconvenience than a patronizing customer. Never going back again and I advise you don't waste your hard earned money and get massages elsewhere.

I scheduled a last minute massage and salt cave experience and I was extremely disappointed. The massage therapist was young, but very sweet and seemed attentive to what I was looking for, but I quickly learned that was not the case. I was sooooo stressed out and was specific about paying attention to certain areas of my body and I felt like she didn't know how to address those areas. She completely ignored them, even after I kept making suggestions of the areas that really needed attention. After I was done with that awkward experience I wAs led into the "salt cave" foran even more disappointing therapy. First of all, they ask you to put booties on your feet and I quickly noticed that they were used!!!! Gross!!! Second, if this room is to help "clear" your breathing, how come I was more congested coming out than going in? Maybe it's because I sat in a typical zero gravity camping chair. So not impressed with this place.... Will try the highly recommended Carlisle salt cave because this place was a total rip off!!! Do not go here!

My fiance went here because of a Groupon we got for two visits. Well, her visit felt like nothing, really. The salt room was advertised as good for her asthma, but the scents they used only made her want to leave sooner. She felt no more relaxed than before she went.We never used the second visit.

Received a gift certificate for $50 for Christmas but when I wanted to use it they said "only for massage". It did not say that on the certificate but because the gifter purchased it from the girl who gives the massages they said it had to be used for that. Sold it on Craig's list for $30 and used the money elsewhere. Sorry, but that's my experience. Also, I have been in the salt room and prefer the one in Carlisle much better. I don't think cell phones and laptops should be allowed in a room that is for relaxation therapy.

The first massage I had there the massage therapist did look young however my massage was great! So I went back thinking I would have the same young lady. Well I did not and the massage was may 50 minutes not counting the 5 minutes the massage therapist left the room with the warm (quickly cold) towel on my back. She was very rough and seemed to be elsewhere in her thoughts. I told her multiple times she was being to rough... If you do decide to get a massage there do not get the red head!!!

So our couples massage was scheduled for 6pm. It was supposed to be an hour. We didn't start until 6:25pm. The masseuse that I had was a petite 18 year old or so who apparently was inexperienced because she kept going over the knots in my back, but did not knead them out whatsoever. 10 minutes later we got a hot towel on our backs which felt good, but afterwards, my masseuse kept on stroking my muscles with little to no effort. On the other hand, my girlfriend's masseuse was too rough and felt the massage was kneading her bones instead of her muscles...The massages ended at 6:52pm. So we paid for an hour for a couple's massage and got only 30 minutes of crappy massages. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place sucks. I do a lot of sports and get massages of all kinds at least once a month and this place is by far the worst and they take your money for not doing the job they promised for an hour's worth...
