This museum has never opened, has wasted millions, and now is scheduled for 2016...it's really an homage to Bethlehem Steel and is even being run into the ground before it even opens, just like the Steel Company that went bankrupt after 99 years.

I really hate giving this a rating at all because it will serve to be as misleading as the previous reviews....We talked to a young man that was locking up what will be the NMIH one day. He told us that they are two years away from opening the doors to this museum. They are in a fund raising and renovation stage now, The area they are working to open this museum is incredible as far as the buildings and you can walk through the streets and look past the fencing in to many of these buildings but the museum is NOT open.

Kids loved it! We walked around and saw all the old mills and building in the area too.

Currently the museum is in the staging process and they are working on cataloging what they have as well. They are also renovating one of the buildings used by Bethlehem Steel. This building will become the National Museum of Industrial History. The museum will contain many large machines from the Smithsonian Institution. There are farm implements, textile making machines and other items which helped build America. Also included in the exhibits will be items showing the history of Bethlehem Steel. These are things collected from Bethlehem Steel including models of plants showing how steel is processed and other furniture and documents about Bethlehem Steel. I am looking forward to watching the progress of the development of the museum and in seeing how they will make the history of Bethlehem Steel and industry come alive for visitors.

Рекомендую сходить.Бетлехем - вообще бывшая сталелитейная столица северо-востока США. Так что каждый почерпнет множество впечатлений...
