We drive by here every time we go to the East side, but never knew this little gem had such a great place open to the public! We stopped on a whim, and we are so happy we did. There is a nice small park for children, swimming area, walking trails, and a lovely pier. Just in the short time we were there, we saw momma/baby ducks, toads, fish, and a river otter!

Our next-door park. Brand new walking/biking paths, with a playground and wide fields. We see a wonderful cross-section of Madisonians whenever we go through: people fishing, biking, playing tennis, hanging out with kids, playing soccer, and even (once) snorkelers in the lake by the pier.

What a cute park. It seems like a small park but once you are on the trails it is a nice walk. Cute bridges. We brought bread to feed the ducks on the river. You can cross the street and walk to the lake if you want or ride on the trail that goes over there. Quite a few people fishing throughout the park. There are playgrounds too. There is a neat brown metal bridge to walk across. Lots of photo ops. Definitely take a walk in this park if you get a chance.

A friend took us rock balancing here-there are often wonderful sculptures about that seem to defy the laws of physics. Also, there are many lovely trees to climb and interesting rocks and a lovely view of the lake. I like.

If you are visiting Madison in the summer this park is pretty and the locks are something to see. If you are visiting in the winter it is a great place to ice skate and there are hockey boards up in part of it. Beautiful park new shelter!

We used to live not too far from Tenney Park and loved to be outdoors there especially when boats are out or the ponds are frozen.

Madison hosts several great parks and this is no exception. Great views. Walk out on the rocks and in summertime, catch boats transferring lakes in the locks. You might also catch people fishing by the locks. Look closely in the churning water and you will see some enormous fish.

Easy lake access. Watch the ducks and boats in the shade. All weather park with ice skating in the winter.

Love Tenney.Great beach to go swimming.Or watch the boats go through the locks.Great playground area.In the winter if the ice is frozen the ice skating is fun.

Was a fun time just hanging out at the locks waiting for boats to be locked between the two lakes. We walked out on the "pier" and watched boats out on the lake. Like all the parks in Madison, WI; it is a family park with so much to offer.

A very picturesque spot on the lake for a wedding. The new shelter house was great for the reception as well.

My partner and upon this place during a trip to Madison Capitol Square and fell in love!! Beautiful grass area where families have picnics friends gather and play games kids run around being kids in the open air.. Our friends have decided to join us and we barbeque and hang out there now occasionally. I love it and I'm sure you will, too!

I love this museum. I donate every time I go in or buy something from their geology museum shop case out in the hall. Full Edmontosaurus (duck bulled), Mammoth, and other skeletons, meteorites, and a LOT of other specimens.

We live in Madison and frequent many of the parks along the lakes here. We like the walking paths, the boat locks and watching them transition the boats from Lake Mendota to the Yaraha River. They have a variety of playground equipment. In the winter this is the only place to go ice skating!

Lived a block away for several years. Great for walks, ice skating on the pond in winter.
