We went with friends of ours and their two kids for a weekend getaway. The Dells itself is campy and a little dated, but that's a different review. Wilderness is large with comfortable rooms, though they could use some updating (especially the bathrooms). The indoor water parks were crowded but fun. The only complaints I have deal with staff not enforcing rules (the hot tub was FULL of children and drunk high school kids) and that it could have been cleaner. It was also WAY more expensive than what it was worth. I'd recommend this place off season during the week when rates are low. BYOB, drinks are crazy expensive.

This water park is like a small city. I think it was actually like 4-5 smaller water parks all placed together to form one large water park community. The zip line looked fun, but we didn't have time for that this trip. The facilities were clean and comfortable and made a nice weekend getaway.

The waterparks were very clean, the staff very attentive. The bar tenders awesome! Great fun for our family!

Great place to go, with or without the kids. Many different water parks, indoor and out. Something for every for every age. also many different arcades.

Just came home from our girls trip from the Wilderness and as always had such a fun time! Overall nice friendly staff, I'm always impressed with the lifeguards(especially at the wave pool), everything is very clean and maintained. Only downside is the food is way overpriced but as expected I guess since it is a resort. Many people review complaining they get lost because it's big resort but if you follow the signs they show you the way. Can't wait for our next visit!!!

We stayed at Wyndham at glacier canyon, (reviewed separately). 2 adults, 2 boys, 12&14. We stayed Sunday to Friday. Water Dome was crowded Monday morning so we got a cabana. We've been here 6 times and never tried the cabana. I'm a cheapskate, so I cringed at the $50+ price tag, but let me tell you, this was a great experience. We will schedule and budget for a cabana every time in the future. The girl checked on us constantly and even checked on the kids when we were at the swim up bar. They'll bring you drinks and food and you feel like a vip. We spent about $200 for the whole day but it was a great luxury. The room next to us was split with two families. That's probably the way to go. We also went to Klondike. The boys went back and forth between the two. Wild West was closed as usual. It's kept clean and plenty of responsible life guards. Just a great, relaxing time.

We had 3 rooms in the lodge on the 3rd floor with our family consisting of 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children (2 and 5) last Friday and Saturday night. Everyone had a great time even though it was probably the most crowded weekend of the year. We brought breakfast food and snacks for lunch. Friday night we enjoyed the fish fry at Survivor's restaurant and Saturday night we had Klondike pizza delivered to one of the rooms--very easy and good! Check-in and check-out was easy and we felt that the staff was professional and not obtrusive. We bought 4 fun passes which was not worth it--probably because we had 2 little ones and some had to leave early on Sunday.Good idea to have a stroller for little kids as there is a lot of walking. All in all, I would recommend Wilderness for a great winter family "escape."

My family had a great time at the Wilderness this week. Only thing I suggest is not to stay on the second floor. During winter, everyone travels the second floor hallway to get from waterpark to waterpark. It is a freeway from 9 am to 11 pm. Stay on a different floor. Great for my kids 7-13. However, once you get to teenager, rides are a little young. For older kids, try the Kalahari. It is more expensive, but the older kids won't be bored by the smaller slides.

Love this place, but the swim up bar is too cold. It was hard to just sit and visit in this pool with our drinks, because it ws just a little to cool for that. I am talking about the indoor part of the pool. There is also part of the pool that goes outside. It was snowing lightly and though it would be great to sit with our drinks in a warm pool while the snow fell. NO! the water was freezing cold outdoors.

We had a condo for the weekend which was very nice but when it came to resturants or bars in the facility there were none. We had to eat in town or go to the main unit for food and drinks. Parking was very limited for the amount of people staying there. Strictly designed for children and not adults. Would not come here again. My wife was there for a conference and the food they were served was not even very good.

There is much to do, with multiple waterparks, arcades, laser tag, and indoor go-karts. The property is SO massive and spread out, so be prepared to walk. Do not plan on this being a relaxing vacation at all. You have to walk a good distance between each attraction (there is an indoor hallway), each indoor waterpark (or you can take the outdoor shuttle) and each restaurant. The kids had fun, but almost seemed overwhelmed at times. Surprised to see so many places for alcohol, seeing as it is a kid place. The most beautiful lobby and hotel was the NOT the main Wilderness hotel, but the Wilderness Wyndham. That was nice, but no real restaurant at that lobby, just a little bar with snack bar. The main Wilderness lobby was dark and small, not festive and bright if you are used to something like Great Wolf Lodge. The bedrooms had a good amount of space but the beds were hard as a rock.

the added a swim up bar with a connection with the outside (we were there in winter) but the water is freezing cold! Brrrrrr...... Despite a lot of people around, it was almost deserted.... Asked the bar tender about it: "is it always that cold or are you just having an issue toady?" she shrugged ....If you can afford to warm the water maybe you should not have that type of bar...

My family (wife, 16 m.o. son, 12 y.o nephew, SIL, myself) spent two nights at Glacier Canyon Lodge and really enjoyed the activities found at the Wilderness Territory. We went to all three indoor water parks that are connected to the main building (maybe we'll make it out to Wilderness on the Lake next time!), spent time in the arcades, indoor go-karts, ropes course, and even partook of a few adult beverages. This place is HUGE. We stayed at the connected Glacier Canyon Lodge so it was anywhere from a 5-10 minute walk to and from the room depending on which area of the resort we were in. The biggest complaint is that there aren't any conveniently placed elevators, which makes it a bit of a pain for people with a baby in a stroller. We had no problems carrying everything up and down the short stairs for the indoor walkways though. There is also shuttle service that will pick you up from the entrance nearest your room and bring you all over the property. There are three indoor water parks connected to the main building: Wild Waterdome has the giant wave pool, Mini-Mammoths kiddie play area, and a family raft slide, plus a swim up bar. The wave pool and slide are both very fun, and the kiddie area here is great. Klondike Kavern has the lazy river, a couple of tube slides that were closed and a pretty decent kiddie area; we only went to this indoor park once since the adult slides were closed for maintenance. No big deal. Wild West is the third park, and has the majority of the adult slides, as well as a nice sized kiddie area that's good for toddlers to tweens. There's bar and food service in all three parks, and plenty of tables with chairs and pool loungers. Being there in November, there was never more than a 5-10 minute wait for any of the rides, and often time no line at all.I did the $25 fun pass with my nephew, and enjoyed the laser tag and go-karts the most. The go-karts are electric, so don't expect too much speed! Check the pricing of each individual attraction to make sure you'll do them all and the value adds up. We also spend a little time in the arcades, which is always fun for big and little kids alike! There is a self serve froyo shop outside of the Klondike Kavern with a lot of fun flavors and toppings.Overall, this was a great family weekend, and we'll mostly likely be back in the future, but also plan on checking out other resorts in the area. This was a great first introduction to Wisconsin Dells though!

It has been several years since my last visit. This time taking one of my older teen kids and my grandson. The water parks indoor were very well kept over the time and service was great as well. Many amenities on site to avoid going out including the Dots Pots where you can create pottery for souvenirs. For the adults, there are lazy rivers to relax or simply jump into one of several hottubs including indoor/outdoor options on the hottubs.
