A great place for families, it was just my husband and I but had a great time. It is harder than you think. However a lot of the pages, clues, notes were worn, torn or faded out so made it hard to complete.

This is a place for young and old alike! We always get a full workout running up and down and challenging one another to see who can complete the tasks first! We are a family of five with ages 7-10 but we have been doing this for years and several times a year. It's an absolute blast for all of us! Though the initial investment may be pricey, I 100% suggest getting EVERYONE a wand, sharing is no fun and it allows everyone to get in on it without getting bored. We saw one large family there that there was no way everyone was getting a chance with the wand, one of the kids ended up hanging out with my daughter, because she could see and do more than with her family all sharing one wand.

My kids loved climbing the ropes, solving the clues, and finding all the places and items. Some of my kids were a little scared of the dragon. You'll probably need to watch another player or, get some help to defeat the dragon. My kids found it fun to see their character name on the leader board. Best part is if you are staying at Great Wolf you can play your entire stay and the game has adventures that run throughout the hotel.

After about an hour or two i definately was getting restless but husband of 37 and 2 girls 6 and 9 at the time had a blast!I wish it was more interactive less computer screen more props/actors/ect.Definately worth to go to at least once! The wands could be cheaper and the wand toppers?!holymoly were they expensive. At least when you add up the prices of the wands.

Nothing went wrong, I was expecting more of a teen/family experience. Maybe with wizards and solving quests. My teens took one look at the little kids running around and walked out.

While expensive, our family spent three hours doing this. It totally wiped the kids out and it was fun for all of us. While it is a little confusing at first, the kids can really get into it and have a great time.

Kids had a blast doing MagiQuest. Didn't think they would be into this but they all enjoyed it (ages 5-14). Not intended for little kids as they need to be able to read & understand directions etc but with help from the okder kids they all loved it.

My 8-yr old son loves this place. We stay outside the Great Wolf, so we have to pay daily, so we only go once per visit to the Dells. Which is a good thing since the lower body workout doled out to you here will drain any pep left in your step after the waterpark marathons. Some of the rune-chasing and riddle solving is fun, but I think there should be more dragon slaying going on. Shadowquest became derivative of itself. There are a dozen or so riddles to solve with it, but the combination to solve was basically shuffling the order of 6 answers. Why not just make it shorter and have more fun with the talking Yetti who makes reference jokes to getting a permit for building ("I know, why do you have to get a permit. I'm not the law master")In the end, the kid has fun and we have to always remember to bring the wand to the Dells.

I would say it's fun, but you most be older child or an adult and have lots of time. It take time and understanding but if you ar into Harry Potter of Magic you will love it

This was a lot of fun and we will go again. The lower rating is here is because we found no information on how the quests worked before going. Had we known more about it we would have activated our quests early in the stay so we could have done the lodge quests and broken up the 3-5 hour or more you can take to do the quests. It was fun. But would have liked to have gotten more out of it by having it active all of our stay.

After getting my kid addicted to MagiQuest in Sandusky Ohio GWL we decided to give a shot at the one closer to us. I am so glad we did this MQ is in its own building and is 4 stories tall the help was great and it was a blast. They do need to fix a few magic chests but they still talked. The slides from the top floor were fun. Only downside is I tagged along with my son and found out that my wand from a year ago the battery leaked :(. But take your kids you will not be disappointed.

Our son has been doing MagiQuest for 3 yrs now. He says it never gets old. He brought a friend this time and both enjoyed playing their for hours. Great that its attached to the Great Wolf Lodge, which is where we stay.

This was a great, indoor activity for my kids. It is a little pricey though, if you have to buy the wands. My kids were fine with sharing one wand, but I could imagine most kids would want their own. Someone told me you could buy them on ebay beforehand for pretty cheap, so maybe that is an option. It is basically a 4-story scavenger hunt. The kids loved running around, climbing and sliding. The reason I do not give it a full 5 stars is because when they warn you not to bring your wands down the slide, they mean it! The second you bring the wand into the slide, it completely malfunctions, and they can't fix it for you. So, this means, you have to run up and down the stairs instead of taking the slides, if you are carrying the wand. Great workout, if you want one.

My kids loved MagiQuest more than the water park itself. It's a wonderful experience for adults, older children and even younger kids. For MagiQuest you follow stories, solve riddles, battle creatures and go on a scavenger hunt with a magic wand. We did MagiQuest and ShadowQuest this time. ShadowQuest has more of a scavenger hunt feel to it. It's still a lot fun, but we thought MagiQuest was better. The younger kids will love the jungle gym aspect to the games. You have to climb, slide and meander your way around the 4 levels of the main attraction building and also through common areas of the hotel. Save a lot of energy if you plan on doing this with your kids. There is also a nice sitting area for adults if you want to wait it out and it's in plain view of the only exit. If you stay in the hotel your game lasts for your entire stay and there are even parts of the game you can play after the main building closes. We all had a great time playing! Ask the attendants lots of questions if you get stuck! They will point you in the right direction and it makes the game much more enjoyable.

We are 30 year-olds that like to act like kids, and we loved it. We did it about 8 years ago and redid it again this year. I don't think much changed, but we didn't remember it all and still had fun doing it again and acting like a kid. We went around 6pm, and it was not too busy, so that was nice.
