I first stopped here this past winter on the way back from cross country skiing at Greenbush. From the outside - it did not look promising but I was hungry for a burger.I sat down at the bar and saw it !!! Grain Belt (the friendly beer). Wow ! (I have a long history with Grain Belt back to the 1970's first post canoe trip ice cold beer). The owner then asked if we wanted some cheese curds.... the world's best cheese curds. OK - Grain Belt and the world's best cheese curds - shaping up here. They were. Widmer cheese is in Theresa so the curds are fresh. He lightly batters them and fries them in very hot oil. They come out light and not greasy - absolutely fantastic. The Cheese burgers of course also feature widmer cheese and rate 3rd in the state (Kroll's Green Bay, Sobleman's MKE and Solly's on north side of MKE are my 1, 2 and 4). I have been back numerous times and have made special trips with my wife and two daughters who all agree - world's best cheese curds. It is worth the trip!
