pioneer park historical complex

We visited the Rhinelander Logging Museum, located within the Pioneer Park Historical Complex in May, 2014. We found it to be well thought out and very interesting. Good exhibits of the logging industry in the early part of the century and the history of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps).The docents were well informed and had some fun things for children to do as well in the one room school house.There is also a steam engine and cars that were used to haul the logs over the roads.The museum buildings are free and the park itself is a great place for kids to use up some excess energy on the playground equipment. There are picnic tables available in the park also. This is a nice family place to spend a few hours.
