My friends and I went to the Bistro & Market to celebrate our birthdays. We did the wine and chocolate pairings. We had 6 different wines and 6 different chocolates. My friend had made reservations. When we arrived, they were not prepared for us and we had to wait. This did give us some time to browse their gift selections. After a short wait, we were given a table next to the bar where the waitresses pulled out the bottles of wine. We were given the first wine sample and given information about the wine and the chocolate. At first it seemed like they were well-versed in the wines and how the chocolate would enhance the wines. By the second pairing it was obvious that it was a script and I got tired of the word 'enhance'. The sample sizes varied greatly in amounts at our table alone with some of us getting very little and others almost half a glass. We kept having to wait longer and longer between the pairings, waiting on wait staff. Being by the bar, it became extremely obvious why. The staff were eating sandwiches AND using their cell phones. We had to start prompting the staff and they seemed irritated with us. We had decided to do an additional 6 samples. By then, we were demanding attention. It was horrible, not to mention the half eaten sandwich that was 2 feet from us. This place could be great if they work on the descriptors and their wait staff. We all enjoyed the wine and chocolates, otherwise I would have given a terrible rating.

We attended a cheese pairing and wine tasting. We had reservations and they were ready for us when we arrived. You got to choose 4 different wines and they brought to you in 4 glasses half full. There is a counter area or table for 4. The server was well versed in each of the wine flavors. We felt no way in the staff rushing us and spent over an hour there. The cheese had 6 different varieties from a sweet tasting to a hot flavor.
