I have been at this museum before and I even wrote a review earlier but it is so wonderful and the employees are so nice that I had to take the time and write another review. This has something for everyone! It has a great deal of information on the heritage of Iron County, WI. Very Cool!

We were on a genealogy fact finding mission and figured this was a must stop. We were very impressed with just how much local info there is there. Granted, there's some cheesy stuff too, but all in all this is a pretty neat place if you're from there or have family from there. Probably not much for the kids.

Great place to vist with more area historical stuff than you can imagine. Worth the stop; also so see the art of rag rugs was a plus.

Interesting place to learn about the area. Beautiful place mats and rugs made on the first floor.nothing to dislike here but check to see when it is open.

Without question my favorite museum I've ever been to in my life. A fantastic place that preserves the history of a single county largely in the form of artifacts. The entire building is huge, however not once did I ever feel bored. The best part is there are weavers present who have been locals to the area for years and are highly intelligible on their own history. This represents the bar by which any other small town museum should be measured. The love and reverence for their past made it one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had.

I toured the Iron County Historical Museum a few years ago and I only had about an hour to look at everything. Let me say that it was not long enough of a period of time. There is so much to see and the ladies that use the looms are just a comical. Take two hours and you will not regret it!!!

For a small town this a great collection of area memorabilia. The ladies that volunteer here make rag rugs on huge looms, then sell them to raise money for the museum. It is defiantly a cool place to check out.
