Located due north of Hudson, WI., and 25 minutes NE of the I-94 & I-494/694 Interchange on the eastern edge of the Twin Cities, White Eagle Golf Club sports an engaging design that is etched through rolling forests and inherent marshlands. Very reasonable pricing, around $60 (pricing varies depending on the day of week, includes GPS cart). At times, some rather long "treks" from green to the next tee box. This course is really not made for walking. This wonderful track provides five sets of tee boxes that range from; Black 7,178 yards (6,563 meters) to Red 4,995 yards (4,567 meters). Many of the greens are long and narrow, requiring close to "pin-point" accuracy. Fairways are a hybrid mix of six different grasses. (I asked.) Even though they are not bent grass, they do yield well set up, favorable lies. The GPS offers sound advice, with regard to placement tips. Although, it would be to your advantage to be playing with someone who knows the course well. Carryout food (between nines) from the "snack shack" is appetizing. You are able to order through your GPS menu and have it awaiting your pickup as you proceed to the back nine. The staff is exceptionally cordial. There were two beverage carts working both nines, and were readily available. Completely savored experiencing this golf course. (Drove 1.5 hours to play here.) Will return next week…..can't wait!
