Took a group to Watson's, where we met Doug Watson. He is all cowboy - from his clothing, to his tall tales. The place is loaded with everything western from boots to branding irons. Dinner theater is a bit overstating, however, the food is good, and after the meal you move your folding chair to the entertainment area. It's a fun place, and I would definitely vo back, if for no other reason than to look at more of Doug's 35 year collection.

Great collection/museum of western and american history. Mr. Watson has an incredible knowledge of the west and presents it in a fun and interesting manner. If you like learning about the history of the US and specifically the west you'll love this place.

It is a fun spot and has lots of authentic stuff, but - like House on the Rock in Dodgeville, WI, it is a closet of a collector. Cool to look at, but I don't like calling such a place a 'museum' because that conveys some academic authenticity which I don't believe is accurate here. So go have fun, look at the cool stuff - but be skeptical of the history presented. As entertainment it's great, as history... well, think of it as visiting an antiques store - some is authentic, some is mislabeled, some is just junk - but all is fun to look at.

We stopped with the kids to this fun little place. Although you pay an admission fee, the owner was great! HE has more stories to tell if you care to listen and you can tell how much he enjoys it. The sarsaparilla was delicious. The have a "gold mine" but it is just for fun, you have to purchase fools gold to take home. Maybe one piece should be included in fee? Good for an hour or so, tone to look at and read so it would be better for older kids.

My brother, his wife, my wife and I stopped in to see Watson's Wild West Museum today and was pleasantly surprised. What a wonderful collection of western era items and the owner made the whole trip worthwhile. He is very knowledgeable and a wonderful story teller. I highly recommend this stop to anyone who is interested in the old west and is going to be in the Lake Geneva Area. So much to see. We will definitely stop back again. Highly recommended. Their web sight is http://watsonswildwestmuseum.com/. Enjoy, Pard!
