This park is great for the tent camper! Park is very wooded and sites are nice and private. Kids love to explore. There are always great education series in the park. The lake was a little on the green side, but very warm. The fishing was fair this year. The rangers are always nice. Not as over run with raccoons like in the past!Great showers, some of the best for a state park! Fire wood is a great deal and very good quality! Boat rental is cheap and can spend hours on the lake for a very fair price! But make sure to pack everything, since going into town is a very long distance! We go every year and never tire of this parks beauty!

Nice lake. Had a great time swimming at the beach. It has a Good campground. (No water hookups in sites) Quiet at night. Very few mosquitoes.

Beautiful lake! You can go swimming and the water is not bad! There is also an area that you can rent kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, and other great boats!

This is a small gem of a State Park that many in Wisconsin have not heard about. A 500+ acre fishing lake, rolling hills and no mosquitoes. We camped in an RV. The site was quiet, screened well by the vegetation. The dam for the lake makes a picturesque location for relaxation or pictures. One of the most relaxing State Parks I have enjoyed.

It's pretty good fishing for Crappie. The damn is infested with Buffalo...this fish is only good smoked.

Nice lake and beach not crowded, love to canoe here. Very few people here which is amazing since it is such a beautiful place.

Clean beach and camping facilities. We frequent the beach quite a bit in the summer. We have joined friends who camp here often and the sites are nice and most near restroom facilities. Fishing/boating activities are plentiful.

The land inside the park is surprisingly flat considering it's located in the unglaciated part of the state. The lake is man-made and always murky. The park is located way, way off the beaten path. The location puts you a true rural, old Wisconsin setting. Wisconsin offers so many better parks, including Governor Dodge which is in the same general area.
