A beautiful time of year to visit Bayfield and the Apostle Island peninsula… Apple Festival time. Apple picking fun and food. Usually happens during peak fall color. Drive through the region and visit all the orchards and get beautiful views of the Lake from the higher elevations.

Beautiful town! Beautiful views. A perfect destination for a weekend or just a day trip! Great fresh apples, salsas, jams and jellies! Also wines!

Art & harvest festival with plenty of apple and apple products. Music, crafts, shops galore. Beautiful setting on the shore of Lake Superior with views of the Apostle Islands. Street vendors with many delicious treats to sample. Chilly air this far north in WI and sun sets early but if the weather cooperates, it is a very nice adventure.

I go a few days before the big event. There are so many people it is crazy. Parking, walking, trying to eat. Just getting through the crowds. Bayfield is wonderful town to walk through and see. I purchase fresh and smoked fish to take home. I try to come once a year. Overall come and see this festival.

What a beautiful little town on the big bay. Overlooking Madeline Island a lovely gateway to the apostle islands. Took the ferry over to Madeline island and spent the day on the beaches. Water was so refreshing while playing in the hot sun. This area is great all year around!

We sampled their jelly, juice and apples. Loved the apple mustard! It is just a couple miles out of town (Bayfield) and although it is just a little storefront (more like a shed, not a big fancy store) is worth the trip.

Get there early, seems like the tourists all arrived about noon. They do baskets which we will use for Christmas presents 'from Mn'. Fun selection of jams. The cider was unexceptional.

During our stay in the Bayfield area, we decided to follow the blue road signs for Orchards and Fruit Farms. It was a nice drive through back roads, stopping at random farm stands for pie/jams/fruit/dips/etc. Bayfield Apple Co. is one of the larger ones. We bought some apple wines here. They offer tastings! Very nice. They really get a wide range of flavors out of the fruit. There are also some short trails you can walk on through the forest around it, and through the orchards. Very cute, and everything smells wonderful.

My family, wine snobs, toured the Bayfield Apple Company when we staying in Bayfield for a summer trip and we loved it. We had a wine tasting and the wine they have is wonderful. The staff is wonderful and helpful as well. We will be back!!!

We read it was peak cherry and raspberry season, so we stopped in at Bayfield Apple Co. Farm. They had a little shop set up with a cooler full of raspberries and cider, a few shelves of misc apple butters, and a good selection of Jam/Jelly. There was not much to do, or see, or shop for. We grabbed a pint of raspberries (a good value at $4) and a jar of raspberry jam. All in all, about a 25 minute trip (20 in the car, and 5 there).
