Bubholz is wonderful if you're in the mood to go on a long walk. THe trails are extensive and wind through fields and forests. Not a great spot for a quick trip; you really need to have at least an hour to ramble around.

We attended the valentine's day sleigh ride which was rescheduled for March. The preserve provided hot chocolate, wine glasses, wine, soda and horsdeurves along with a horse drawn wagon ride through the preserve. This place Is beautiful.

A choice of walks and lots of wildlife, pretty scenery. The place looks as though many trees were uprooted by a tornado, this adds to the beauty of the scenery.

I visit the preserve to clear my head, and surround myself with beauty. I am there frequently, and have been a regular guest for years. Please support their campaign for a new facility.

Absolutely beautiful! Manicured walkways and multiple trails. They do have maps to reuse if you get lost easily. I come here all the time to walk when the weather is nice. No cost for that! In the winter they have snowshoeing and skiing free unless you need to rent a pair. I've never done that though, so I'm not sure if you can rent them only during special outings they host. The first time I was here was in elementary school, and I remember the beauty and the delicious maple syrup they served with ice cream for our maple syrup demo from beginning to end. Contact them for special outings and programs going on. Very family friendly. Highly recommended

This is a great place if the weather is sunny and cool. It is peaceful and very pretty. We like the fall or springtime the best.

A fantastic asset to the Fox Valley--many trails and plenty of wildlife--many ponds teeming with frogs and fish--turtles all over the area--happy birds sing to you--bring a camera and bug spray--staff is very helpful--great lodge--close to all of the valley--plenty of parking

Beautiful and quiet. Has an extensive network of well maintained trails. Lots of birds. Little gazebos scattered here and there provide shelter when the sky opens up as it so often does in Wisconsin.

If you are looking for a pristine, clean forest that is groomed and maintained, this is not it. There are trees down and long grass and some swampy areas. And it is incredibly beautiful. The are reasonable well maintained paths that that you all over. There are many animals and birds to be seen, but it isn't the zoo, so it is hit or miss. The trees provide lots of shaded area, so those may be wet to walk around, but there is sun in the clearings. For you geocachers, there are even a few of those in here as well.

The trail system is very nice with multiple choices. There is little elevation change and trails are marked well. The preserve is cared for very well. No experience with their events (snowshoeing, maple syrup making, many other activities) but they have always sounded interesting.

This is a well maintained nature center. Every time I go I at least see some type of animal. Some of the trails are muddy later into the year due to the amount of shaded areas.

Nicely kept and well marked hiking trails, snow shoe rentals too.. Cross country skiing only a few minutes from anywhere in Appleton.. Great deal..
