The gentleman who served us today at the wine tasting was extremely knowledgeable and generous. We liked many of the wines.

Friendly staff, free samples and a great view. Live music at times and have now started selling frozen pizzas for a quick bite.

Visited this winery on a beautiful afternoon. The patio outside has spectacular views. Our group of four was welcomed graciously. They have a complimentary tasting list of flights of either whites or reds. You get to try 6 different wines ranging from dry to sweet. The staff is knowledgeable about their grapes and wines. If you are in the area, you must stop here. We ended up with a bottle of Marquette that was very good.

We've visited this place multiple times and keep going back for their patio that overlooks the Mississippi River. I'm fond of their LaCrescent, which is really crisp and citrusy. There is pretty much a wine to fit almost any palate at this place, assuming you like Midwest hybrid grapes. Definitely worth a stop.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no tasting fee which is unusual. Most wineries now charge some fee. The red wines were good, especially the Marquette. The view all the way to the Mississippi River was beautiful and easily enjoyed in the outdoor seating provided for sipping and taking in the view. Great Kodak Moment.

We happened to see a sign for free wine tasting on our way up to Buena Vista Park and overlook above Alma, WI. On our way down we thought "why not"? It was still morning, but as my wife says, "it's 5:00 somewhere". What a stroke of luck. It was probably our best winery experience ever and some of the best cold climate wines we have tasted. It's hard to beat free wine tasting, but you must purchase a bottle or two or several before you leave. Our visit was on a weekday so we were lucky enough to be served by the owners. They were so accommodating and interesting to visit with. Tasting consisted of either a flight of white or red plus a fruit wine. In my opinion, all the wines were very pleasing. I should have purchased more. They have a very nice event room. The patio overlooking the countryside and Mississippi Valley provides a great setting for a glass of wine or any other reason you can think up to spend some time enjoying the view. Our driver who usually doesn't enjoy wine like the rest of us was pleasantly surprised by a couple varieties served by the owner who also supplied great conversation. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you Danzinger's!!

Had a great day enjoying our anniversary! What an amazing view! If the weather is amazing I highly recommend a glass of wine and sunshine on the bluff side enjoying the view of the great Mississippi!

The outdoor seating area at Danzinger Vineyards is definitely the highlight of the place. It is a great place to sit and relax while enjoying spectacular views. The rest of the place really lacked charm. The staff was not particularly helpful. These particular wines aren't my taste (lots of fruit options), but that is personal preference. My friends seemed to enjoy the wine.

You cannot beat the friendly service, excellent estate wine, and wonderful view of the Mississippi River! Danzinger Vineyards is the top stop on the Great River Road Wine Trail! Free tastings and knowledgeable staff make this a place I want to visit over and over.

First off, if you want a GLASS of wine (not a half glass) then go to Danzinger! They do not skimp on their pours. But let’s back up now. The winery has a complimentary tasting of their wines. You can choose the red or white tasting and an, additional sample of a dessert wine for 6 samples in total, even those are substantial pours. I tried the red wine tasting and really enjoyed them all, but Sweet Alma Red and Alma Nectar were my two favorites. Although, my favorite wine was the dessert wine I tried, which was a white wine called Thin Ice. After our tasting we purchased a glass of our favorites, which is when we found out that they nearly fill the glass to the rim, and only charge $5 a glass! Such a great deal! The staff is really nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have coolers of soda and beer for the non-wine drinkers and also serve popcorn. If you are near Alma, WI then you must stop at Danzinger!

The location and view of this place is awesome. We had great service during our tasting and then enjoyed a glass of wine (and popcorn?) on the patio. We didn't purchase any wine but we did enjoy the place. Odd to have popcorn with wine -- but I enjoyed it -I love popcorn and this was warm and fresh.

Danzinger Vineyards is the perfect place to visit on a nice Spring, Summer, or Fall day. The drive up the Great River Road is scenic and peaceful. Sitting atop the bluff overlooking the town of Alma, the Mississippi River Valley, and Lock & Dam No. 4 Danzinger provides the perfect place to sit on a patio with a bottle of wine and soak up the beauty that surrounds you. With the wine priced so reasonably, it is an inexpensive date that everyone will enjoy!

This is a great place, just past the Buena Vista turnoff it is home of its own Buena Vista. The sample room and production facilities are located with a great view down the valley and of the Mississippi River. There is plenty of outdoor seating, for you to kick back, soak up some sun and some wine. Wine can be a personal preference, but I found their selection on the sweeter side. They grow all of their own grapes next door and when I did the tasting it was complimentary! My 2 favorites they offered were the Danzinger White and St. Croix Red. I picked up a bottle of the St. Croix.
