I mean, when a statue is listed on the top "attractions" of things to do, you know this town is a little lacking in the entertainment!

The pictures currently shown (Wyatt Earp) are NOT the Cowboy Statue referenced. You have to drive around to the next street BEHIND the Boot Hill complex at the OLD City Hall. The building, Cowboy Statue (it's white), a monument, and ox head statue ALL looked rundown and neglected. Actually, the whole area looked seedy. We didn't pause long enough to take pictures!

Loved it! All the things around town were wonderful. The whole town was exciting. The museum, historical sites and food.

These pioneers had a very very rough way of life... I can't imagine going for days and weeks without a real shower!!!! They were double tough, and I am glad they are remembered....

The statue is meaningful only if you hear the whole story of the cattle drives from Texas to Dodge City. the Trolly ride is a good way to get the full story, as well as see all you need to see of this statue.

It was a very interesting visit to Dodge City and know about a legend of the Old Wild West, Marshal Wyatt Earp.

Good art work, and I like art, but it is just a statue. Take the trolley, which will let you out and pick you up from here, and see if it appeals to you.

This is one of the iconic items of this town but its looking a little sad. Up close it appears to be cover with layers of paint. It needs to be stripped down and spiffed up. And whose idea was it to paint the longhorn heads?

I'm new to Dodge City, I see this statue daily. The pose is cool because all the physical elements conspire to hold your interest without causing doubt.Look at this statue in any weather, and you feel just like the subject.Ready for anything!

not enough information on this at the site. I had to go to the Kansas Heritage place to find out more, and when I did, I found it had an amazing history!
