The Topeka zoo has gone downhill over the years. Maybe I've just gotten older. But the animals in there have never seemed to do much. I've been to other zoo at many different times throughout the day and the animals there seem to be much more active and happier.

Excellent.it is very well-kept and the kids had a great time you get to see the animals closer up then you would elsewhere the birds were amazing

The zoo is very small great for small children but missing a lot of things that make a zoo great. There is a very limited amount of animals to view and the conditions are not the greatest.

go there for holidays or b.days parties, plenty of space for the little ones to roam/play. be sure to ride the train or carousal. the zoo has a lot of interesting animals too.

Having just moved here my children have come to visit one of the time for a week age and we have all gone to the zoo every time and it is fantastic. We live close to the St. Louis zoo and are used to a very large however for this being a small zoo it is very well-kept and the kids had a great time you get to see the animals closer up then you would elsewhere the birds were amazing and beautiful My kids and grandkids Still monitor the zoo from the website and think that's really cool. I got to watch the baby cubs when they were little from a long distance

The zoo has alot of exhibits for the size. Enjoy baboons and lions. The hippos are enjoyable in the morning. Took 3rd graders on field trips for 25 years. The family plan is a good deal.

Very nice small city zoo! They are working to add new exhibits and have been improving the ones they have. Its one of the top attractions in town

We take our family there every fall in October or November on a mild day. It is not crowded this time of year and it feels like we have the zoo to ourselves! You get very close to the animals and can hear them make noises that can not be heard at larger zoos. The cost to get in is cheap, and if you have a membership to another zoo, it is even cheaper. You can see the entire zoo at a leisurely pace in a couple of hours and still go across the street and enjoy Gage Park. I highly recommend this zoo if you want to get away from the big city zoos for a day!

My kids loved this place , it is by far the best zoo I have ever taken them . The food cafeteria is also my oh my scrumptious. Would always highly recommend this place .

This small zoo is the best. There are a good variety of animals, they all seem healthy and living in good habitats, the staff are friendly and caring, the overall environment of the zoo is woodsy and pleasant to walk. If I lived in the area, I would definitely have a zoo membership. So glad we visited!

The last 2 Saturdays in October the Zoo sponsors trick or treat opportunities for kids. They get treats at several community vendor tables as they explore the zoo enjoying the animals. Great family time.

Great place, the staff are awesome and if you have little ones its perfect. Many zoos are very spread out and its a great workout but hard for small kids. This one is small and perfect for the little ones. By far one of my favorite zoos to date.

This is a very nice zoo and very pleasing staff. They are very clean, animals in great health, adequate cages, happy animals and knowledgeable staff. Small and very pleasing. Fun and affordable for 1 or entire family. Loved it and will go back within the next year. I say everyone should go see it

Very nice and clean! Having 2 small grand kids with us, just big enough to see all the variety of animals in the right amount of time. Loved all the exhibits! Great family day! Just right!

This zoo was good break for kids because not only do they have the zoo but also playgrounds and train for kids to ride and play. The selection of animals to view is good and the grounds are very clean. The $6 admission is great deal.
