We arrived here after 860miles in our RV with very little expectations. Just looked for a quiet place to sleep. When we pulled in (right around Sunset), we were greeted by thousands of fireflies and a site with power and water backing up to the lake. Beautiful, serene, peaceful and quiet - much more than we expected (for $22 :) - this is a real gem and a place you shouldn't pass by when go West or East on Hwy 261. We are planning to return and stay an extra day. Only minor drawback is the restrooms - these are waterless "hole-in-the-ground" toilets that offered (at the time of our visit in July) about 2,000,000 dead insects and a very rich smell. Otherwise this is one beautiful part of Texas.

Visited here as part of our Big 2014 Road Trip. Park has a large lake, camping and recreational areas, and as the name promises, lots of fuzzy little prairie dogs viewable from a covered ramada (perfect for picnics).
