trading post canoe, kayak and paddleboarding trips

The family and I took an afternoon canoe trip at the Trading Post in Mongo, Indiana. They offer canoe trips (2-15miles), kayaking, fishing and have a (what seems to be a nice) campground. We took the 10 mile canoe trip on the White Pigeon River. There was a 30 minute wait for the shuttle. Staff was very helpful and informative. The wait did not seem long since they have washrooms, a little store and snow cone shack nearby. The driver was helpful and informative. They carried the canoes down to the river and we went on our way. Beautiful wetlands, clean water and loads of fun. There were many bank areas to pull off to take a break, swim or have a picnic. Drinking alcohol was acceptable as long as you were responsible. Take a cooler and make a whole day of it. Can't wait to go next year!
