Naturalists showed several birds of prey including a hawk and a bald eagle. Very informative and fun. Beautiful grounds and inn. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Just returned from meeting family at Turkey State Park for Thanksgiving dinner. A beautiful park even this time of year. Our party of 19 met in the comfy lodge with a nice fireplace comfy couches and TV we then proceeded to a buffet of traditional Thanksgiving favorites. Got to visit have a Nice Thanksgiving without all of the work!

Turkey Run can be enjoyed in every season. There are lots of trails for every level. The fall is the time when most people visit, but when the creeks and streams are frozen, the canyons and rock formations sparkle, and it's just gorgeous. An added bonus to winter hiking -- the trails are hard - no muddy feet. Also, several bald eagles nest along the creek, and we've often seen them in the winter. It's a great experience. The town of Rockville, 10 minutes south of the park, offers several dining options (Jailhouse Cafe is my favorite!), and places to shop and relax.

I stopped here on my way to Illinois. I was fortunate it was early fall and the leaves had started to turn. Even though I only spent a couple of hours here I would definitely consider it for a longer stay. I also checked out the RV camping section which look very nice also. There are some great walking trails and the view from the bridge across the river is wonderful.

This is one of our families favorite places to camp and hike! Some of the trails are very rugged but there are some easier ones too. The campground is great as well, very good shower facilities, a good little camp store. The nature center is nice too. The kids can help feed the birds in the viewing area if you get there first thing in the morning. The hiking is the best part, especially after it rains. The kids love hiking through the creek beds

Only spent a couple of hours here hiking trail 3. It was very rugged as listed. Still a very enjoyable hike. Beautiful views of the creek bed. If you have any difficulty with knees or climbing stairs/ladders you'll want to pick another trail. I would definitely go back if I were in this area.

A must see State Park, beautiful breathtaking views and great bird watching at sunset point. You can easily spend a day hiking. Stay at the Inn, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly, well maintained facility and park.

We have made this a family traditions, our kids and grandkids. We all love hiking the trails, looking at the wildlife, even climbing the ladders. There are many different levels of difficulty on the numerous trails from easy to much to hard for me trails. We went a little earlier this year than in the past, third weekend in October, and found it to be a little more crowded than normal. However, being so close to nature seems to bring out the best in people. If in the mood for a nice hike, stroll, picnic or just time spent with those you love, make this one of your stops.

This is a great 1 or 2 day destination, with a lodge and nearby cabins, and a restaurant. Great scenery, hiking trails of varying length and degrees of difficulty, canoeing and tubing, picnicking, swimming indoor and out, and more. Be prepared for the ruggedness of the hardest trails and wear waterproof boots if it's rained recently. Bring a camera!

The park has wonderful trails (at all levels of expertise). It isn't too far from Indianapolis which made it the perfect weekend getaway for us!

Great catfish dinner - come with a healthy appetite! Two large fillets fried perfectly tender. Enjoyed carry out one evening to enjoy appetizers on the 2nd floor veranda.

Beautiful Park and it's in Indiana?!! Yes that's right, an amazing place is located in the land of corn. Turkey Run is a great place to go hiking and site seeing. I recommend going in the summer when it's hot and there's mist in the lower part of the cliffs. Sugar Creek runs through Turkey Run and if you like canoeing or just relaxing on a tube, that is available as well. So go out to This park and have a great time! I know you will :)

This is a fabulous state park. Great hiking trails from easy to moderate to rugged. Great place to get "unplugged" and enjoy an afternoon of nature. Spent 2 1/2 hours just hiking through the gorgeous place ... especially enjoyed the trail through the creek. There is also a suspension bridge you walk over to enter some of the hiking trails ... there were people canoeing below. A nice place to visit. Plan to return!
