Not sure what we were supposed to do. No staff around to help or assist. Buildings look neat and some great photo opportunities for couple and kids.

When I was little my parents would take me to the Ole Mill Crank-Up every year, and we had a blast. This is also a GREAT location for taking pictures, and hosting parties. I have been to a few private events here, and even planned to have my wedding here (then we decided to skip the wedding and go on a cruise instead).

The original mill was built in 1850 and operated until 1870. Then the Gilliams bought it in 1890 and ran it until it was washed away in a flood in 1928. The mill on the property now is an exact reproduction of the original and was constructed in 1979. It (and 15 acres) was donated as a park in 2000. As you walk around (and walk the dirt road that circles the property) you will see old equipment and pieces and parts of old equipment. We had fun trying to figure out what some of the pieces were. You will eventually come to trails leading to old cabins and buildings. The park is available to rent for family reunions, motorcycles clubs, weddings, church groups, etc. or to just walk around to see what's there.
