This place is fun for all ages. The shop sells about every brand and type of sugar confection, candy bar, fudge you can think of. It is a shame that it is surrounded by struggling businesses in a downtown that has had its consumer base siphoned off by the larger consumer attractions in the cities to the North. The shop offers a little nostalgic atmosphere most over the age of 50 can identify with.

You can not visit downtown Lexington NC without stopping in The Candy Factory! It is a wonderful find and you will enjoy wandering through the store and picking out your favorite treat!

A hidden gem! If you are in Lexington you simply must stop in this adorable store. Takes you back in time and the candy is the best ever.

All the candies from your child hood that you seldom see anymore. Awesome maple fudge and many others made right here in Lexington, USA, Really neat to walk around and see all the decorations and the displays from yesteryear and today. If you are diabetic never fear they have a section for you also,, It is very hard for me to go in there because I always buy way more than I went in there to get..

Best place to shop in Lexington! Has all the candy you could ever desire. Gummies, chocolate, hard candy, even classic toys.

For anybody that is in the Triad area, I would suggest a visit to the Candy Factory. The handmade fudge is wonderful and comes in a large variety of flavors. Or if there's a certain candy that was your favorite as a kid it will probably be there. A great place to buy candy for a loved one as a gift. Gift wrapping included at no extra charge!

Was amazed at all the candy selections and some neat antiques too...Worth a trip, just try not to go when it is too crowded, small isles. You need to stop in whilst checking out down town Lexington.Spent a long time just browsing the huge selection of candy. The back has some neat antiques worth checking out as well.

This place just felt refreshing. Neat old school feeling of days gone by. Awesome theming and friendly staff. Lots of choices for sweets. If you are strolling downtown stop in. Even if you don't buy anything (yeah right don't count on it) just walking around in here is pretty cool. We loved it.

My family and I decided to visit Lexington just to walk around downtown. We went into the Candy Factory. It is a cute old-timey kinda store. They have huge glass cases in the center of the store that sell fudge, chocolate items and the small individual chocolates (like you would get in a box of candy). I was surprised to learn they do make their own fudge, but the other chocolate items are items they purchase from other chocolate companies. They did mention 2 of the chocolates are also made in the Lexington area, just not by them. I did purchase some chocolates and my family got some of the loose candy by the pound. While the motif of the store is fun, I did find most of their items overpriced and a very basic selection of items I can buy at most grocery stores. The huge cases take up most of the store leaving only narrow walkways to go through to shop. It was a bit awkward. The best part of the trip was the very back room where they had some antiques. The room was filled with old time products such as the old soap boxes, old dry good cans, old kitchen gadgets, antique books and interesting advertising items. All the items were for sale and fun to look at.We did enjoy our visit and it was a cute little shop, but overall I would probably not go back.

I brought my daughter to The Candy Factory when she was very small. On a Christmas shopping trip to Winston Salem, my daughter, now 22, begged me to return. The town is quaint and matches the ambiance of the shop. The shop, with wooden floors and glass candy counters set the mood for days gone by. The employees are very nice and engaging. My only complaint is the size of the store. One large U-shape area for one-way walking makes browsing and stooping near impossible. I think we spend $40 on fun candies, but was well worth the experience. I definitely go again.

If you are already in Lexington and have a hankering for some old fashioned candy or fudge, this would be a great place to stop. But that's all it is, a candy store. What else is there to say?
