potent potables

First visit and not great but at least we got this in Jamestown. Potent Potables is about 50% retail 50% bar. There is a self serve wine dispenser and about 7 draft beers on tap. There was plenty of seating and nice wooden tables and a big selection of games. It has a lot of potential. First problem I had was the sanitary odor in the place. It smelled like a hospital or the mens restroom at a gas station. The smell was a big turn-off for my wife. The lighting was bad too, they tried by covering the florescent lighting in the drop ceiling but that harshness from it was still there. The beer selection changes but on our first visit it was a little lame, more taps would be good. The bar area was tucked in the back corner and would be nice if it were larger. There were a lot of children there too which I thought was odd. I'm happy that Jamestown has this but there are better atmospheres elsewhere.

This cute little place has wines by the glass and craft beer. It features every board game you could imagine. They usually have a food truck outside to purchase food and you can order from the local restaurants to be delivered as well. You can play games you love or have never heard of, but either way, it's a lot of fun.
