Went to the waterpark as a birthday gift to my son. Our family had a great time. We checked into the hotel (reviewed separately) around 4 and headed straight to the waterpark. We were worried we would not be able to find a table but we were lucky enough to find an unclaimed table. Most people (like us) just used it to store towels and personal items. My toddler loved the kiddie play area and my older son (7) loved the wave pool and slides (his favorite being the tornado). The wait for the water slides was not bad at all and there was definitely something for everyone. The temperature on one side of the waterpark was definitely cooler than the other. Overall we would definitely go back.

I know that it is an indoor water park. I get that you are paying for that fun. But the food and drink prices are pretty outrageous. Overall, take food with you or eat out and you will be okay.

So warm inside when the weather outside is not so great. Several water rides. A lot of fun but the food inside is pricey

If the refreshments were less money, it would have been great for the kids. They loved the water slides.

We had a great weekend at this resort. We arrived at 9:00 am on Saturday, and even though we could not get into our room, we went immediately to the water park. Having reserved a cabana ahead of time, we had for our belongings. The kids were off to play and we joined them. The park was great! There were five water rides and the lines were not unreasonable. The pools were fun, as were the water play areas. Everything was clean and neat. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Prices are high, but no more so than any other amusement/water park.By 2:00 our room was ready. We were able to get in with no problem. The wristbands provided make everything so convenient! The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was comfortable. There is so much to do at the Lodge that it cannot all be reviewed. Suffice it to say you will not be bored! Our son was in the water park from 9:00 to 5:00, then other activities that evening. Back in the park at 9:00 the next day. Considering the cost of a water park and a great hotel, this is well worth the price. Highly recommended.

Just spent one night at great wolf lodge and absolutely loved it. Yes it's loud and kids are running everywhere having FUN... that is what we loved about it. We came here for family fun so we were not expecting a peaceful quiet vacation. But I don't think anyone making a reservation at a resort geared towards kids and a water park would ever be expecting that. There is non-stop fun. You have numerous options for fun that cost extra, however there is no need to pay for extra activities if you don't want to, the water park was open from 9 am to 9 pm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only negative for us was the dinner buffet, definitely not worth the cost. However we had plenty of off-site options to us within a few blocks including a cracker barrel right across the street had we chosen to leave the hotel for dinner which I saw many people doing. We had pizza for lunch and it was good and quite reasonable for resort pricing at 12.00 for a large cheese pizza. Also the dunkin donuts on site was excellent and very convenient for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich. The room was immaculate and no concerns about cleanliness anywhere in the resort. I saw staff continuously cleaning up trash etc. Even in the parking lot. Lastly late checkout is so worth the extra cost. I saw so many families packing and getting out of their rooms at 11 instead of using the best time from 9-1 in the water park before the next nights guests show up. Yes you can stay all day and yes there are showers and changing rooms but we went to the water park from 9-1 with barely any waits for slides, went back to our room for showers and getting ready then spent the rest of the evening doing other resort activities.

I can see how some families would enjoy this place, but it was not our cup of tea! The great Wolf Lodge is expensive for the reservations, but don't think the cost stops there. Everything cost...A LOT! It's loud all the time. In the lobby, the water park, the hallways....everywhere. It's chaos all the time and our normally outgoing, super social butterfly didn't even want to leave our suite. It wasn't the relaxing and fun vacation we had hoped for. We actually considered leaving a day early, but had paid for the "Milk and Cookies" package and we didn't want to waste more money. I was hoping this would be a spot our daughter would love and we would come back often, but sadly this is going to be our first and LAST TIME! Homesick at The Great Wolf Lodge.

We LOVE Great Wolf Lodge! We have been twice and are looking forward to going again. The staff at the Water Park is amazing...so vigilant and very aware of what's going on. Not only are they on top of safety, they are also very friendly. The water park has a safe place for the toddlers. And, there is SO MUCH for big kids to do. We have a great time, and the best part is that we are doing it all as a family!

A great water park and plenty of other fun for kids of all ages. You could just stay here, but why, when there are so many other fun places just blocks away.

There are so many activities for the kids. We purchased the paw pass and what a deal! You get a little bit of every activity. Breakfast buffet style was delicious! The deco beautiful! And if you want it to yourself, do what we did. We checked in the Sun after Thanksgiving and wow, so fewer families it was nice having no wait for the slides, for dinner... 2 things I'd like to mention are don't get the pizza and the arcade is for little ones. Not for school age kids.

We were there a week ago on a Saturday afternoon/evening for my grandsons birthday party. We ate at the "buffet' which was nothing to write home about ...in fact...the food was bland and was lukewarm to cold to boot....and priced way out of line. Staff was attentive and there were activities for young kids...but for what you have to pay for one room for less than a multiple nights stay it was outrageous. We stayed right across the street at an Embassy Suites hotel, food and drinks were hot, delicious and refreshing and the room was great...also over $100 less a night. The waterpark was about the only plus to this place and even that was just "okay" I wouldn't recommend this overly-hyped place to anyone.

This is just a world on its own...great fun for all ages. Slides for everyone, and nice area to relax in as well

We arrived on a Thursday at 1pm, and were able to check right in to a Kid Kamp room. We were traveling with a 2, 3, 5, and 6 year-old. The waterpark was extremely clean and the life guards were FANTASTIC. There were plenty of waterslides, and water play areas for all our kids. The lines were longer towards late afternoon, but not really bad at all. We ate at the Lodge Grill in the resort (not the buffet) and found the prices to be quite reasonable. We certainly could not have eaten out cheaper if we had gone off the resort to a restaurant (unless we had done fast food, which we don't do). It was quite good as well. The arcade and bowling were expensive, but we had planned for that as they are no matter where you go. The room we stayed in was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, in fact the whole place was extremely clean. The resort thought of everything to make a stress-free family time. From wristbands that serve as keys to open your room, and can be scanned to charge food back to your room (so you don't have to bring a wallet into the water park), to little bottles of kids shampoo and pink bodywash in the room, they got all the little details right. We stayed one night, and really had a fantastic time. We will definitely go back. The cost I would normally find high for one night, two days of vacation, but for a stress-free fun time (with 4 little kids!) with no fussing, or planning, or whining, just good family play time, it was worth every penny and then some.

We arrived around 1:30 and there was a substantial line for check-in. I'd say it took well over 30 minutes to get checked in and get our arm-bands. Our room was not ready, but they texted me when it got ready later. We were 2 families of 4 who decided to stay together in the "grizzly suite" which is a 2 bedroom suite. We have been to GWL a few times before, to this one and the Williamsburg one, so we definitely knew what to expect. A few things to note this time: first, on a Saturday afternoon, this area is really slammed with traffic. My husband took the car out to nearby Walmart for 1 thing and was stuck in traffic forever getting back. Second note, Domino's pizza no longer delivers to GWL. We had planned to order pizza since we were staying just one night, but despite having one 3 miles away, there was no delivery. The grizzly suite had the advantage of having 2 bedrooms both separate from the living room area. One bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom and the other bedroom has 2 double beds. There is a 2nd bathroom off the common area. This made for a very nice setup for the 2 families. There was also a fold-out sofa. We had 1 kid on a twin air mattress on the floor, but there was barely any room to put it. There is just not a lot of extra floor space in the place. Somewhere I thought I had read there was a dine-in bar area, but there was not. Just a small breakfast table with seating for 4, which was not adequate for the 6 to 8 person capacity of this unit. Finally, I don't know if it was just my lucky day, but our suite was at the far, far end of the hotel so it was really a long hike to civilization. The water park is the big attraction here. When we arrived, it seemed like total screamy mayhem, but it was still fun to ride all the different slides. The teens and tweens tired of it after a few hours and the 12 year olds were still up for magi-quest while the teens did the arcade. I think this may be our last GWL for quite a while, because my kids are aging out and it's too pricey for a couple of hours entertainment. One thing I have always liked about GWL is that there is adequate staff in the water park, always making sure that people wait the required time before going down the slides, and that everybody makes it out the bottom of the slide ok. The fact that the park is limited to guests makes it less crowded and it feels safe as well. The rooms and beds are just so-so. I've typically only stayed one night at a time at GWLs and that's always been plenty for me. I do encourage you to look at other websites (hotels.com etc.) than just GWL's because I found better deals thru third party booking sites, even as a past guest.

The place is nice, but WAY over priced! First off check in is 4pm. You would think that would be long enough to get your room together, but it wasn't ready. I thought it was because I bought my daughter the Birthday Package. They said it included decorating the door, but it was just a small poster. 4 candy bars, 1 pizza that they said would feed 6 people, but I had to buy another one at $17. A cake that the kids were only able to get a single piece from. Credit at the arcade which ended up only being $2 per child. They were through with that after 2 games. It's no where near worth the money we paid. The water park is great and we had a blast in there, but it was b/c we made it fun. Do your self a favor... go have a pool party at a friends house or at the Y even. You will walk away feeling like you've been screwed if you go here.
