steel string brewery

This a unique local brewery, that even makes their own kombucha sometimes! Interesting flavors and nice brickwork interior with outside view to Open Eye cafe and Greensboro St. One of the better relaxing spots in Carrboro.

My wife and I are friends in a brew tours group. We love tasting new brews and established favorites in micro breweries wherever we travel. We are so fortunate that one of our favorites is Steel String Brewery, in our own home town!!!##!! :-)They are oh so friendly!#! They have guest beers, and visiting musicians. Great place to go to after dinner. Too bad they don't serve food! One thing they could do, that we have seen, is coordinate with other restaurants for delivery to their place, and have menus available. Pizza/mexican/Asian .....anyone??? :-) meet you there. We the ones glowing with celebrating life with fellow crafted beer fans....

I built a brewey. I love crafted beer. Not a Whitt Beer drinker, but these guys know their chemistry. I mean they REALLY know brewing, plus they are adorable with their guest beers. Too bad they don't have food. Maybe like Wedge Brewery in Asheville, they could serve peanuts. I can't wait for my next visit and their newest Ale, Stout, or Porter. Bravo you guys ... best corner hangout in Carrboro! Whoot!#$@@/^^#!

A rotating selection of house made beers. They also have guest breweries on draft if your not fanciful of the house offerings. Cozy space. Sometimes they have live music.
