This was a very nice stop during our weekend away form home. We stopped in for a wine tasting and enjoyed all of the wines that were poured. The lady serving us was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our stop. The pottery displays were a great plus!

We visited Uwharrie Vineyards on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and were happy we were there during a lull in the action. We were served by a very nice retired woman who knew the wines very well and also knew some of the surrounding area. The wines were very good and they had a 10% discount on 6 or more bottles and 20% discount on the jams and spreads. They have a great gift shop with many unique items we had not seen before along with a bit of pottery. They hold weddings here and we thought this would make a pretty place to have an event. This winery was our second stop of the day out of 5 wineries we were visiting for the weekend and it fit well in the loop we were making on the east side of Charlotte.

Sign up for their email...They have a small but nice vineyard and their wines are consistantly good to very good. They also have special dinner and music events. Nice owners. A pleasure to visit this spot.

This is by far one of the nicest wineries I've been to. I stopped here on a solo visit because I happened to be in the area and was made very welcome. You get to taste all the wines for oneprice and although I don't like very dry wines, theirs were not bad. I liked their sweeter wines andleft with a bottle. The tasting room is nice and they have a wide assortment of gifts, specializingin pottery from Seagrove. I find that to be nice, especially for some visitors who may not have theopportunity to get to Seagrove. They are set up first rate for dining, as they have it separate from their tasting room. The ladies were knowledgable and very friendly.

We visited the winery on June 27 while on vacation out-of-state. They had a beautiful showroom with lots of interesting products. We purchased some wine, as well as a travel, insulated wine bag that holds two bottles of wine. Very nice accessory. My husband also purchased a t-shirt. As I am accustomed to doing, I washed the shirt before he wore it. It was then that we noticed it had a hole in the neckline along with two other areas that look like they will also result in tears to the fabric. I called to ask if I could mail the shirt back to them and have them return a new one to me. The first time I called they said they would have to talk to the manager and they would return my call. After not hearing from them in a week, I called back. They refused to exchange the shirt because the shirt had been washed -- and they assumed worn. I told them it had never been worn but they would not refund my money or send a new shirt. Very disappointing. So many places/stores will return/exchange items without question -- but not Uwharrie Vineyards.

It was our first time attending the Wine dinner they sponsor every quarter. The price was excellent and included a bottle of wine of your choice, dinner, dessert and a band. Very nice and will include it again in our plans for a weekend trip.

This is only the third winery I've visited, so even though I have very little basis for comparison, I found this to be a delightful spot. Aside from oiling the robotic lady who poured our wine, I wouldn't change a thing. We got to taste several wines of their choosing, and my favorite was surprisingly a blackberry wine. I was excited to try their peach as well, but found it to be nowhere near as delightful as what we tried at Dennis Vineyards down the road. Their Muscat, however, was delicious, and we ending up getting a bottle of it to enjoy on the lovely and romantic covered porch and gazebo area overlooking the vines.

I had the opportunity to visit Uwharrie Vineyards yesterday and it was a great experience. The tasting was nice and the hostess was very friendly and made the experience very classy. The wine was great and the prices were reasonable--especially the ones that were buy one/get one free. Great wine at a great price in a great atmosphere. Who can beat it?

The young women who assisted us with our tasting were very nice. The wines themselves are good, although we aren't huge fans of scuppernong & muscadine, they served excellent blends of these natives with more European varietals. Excellent adventure for the money!

We had a very nice tasting of many wines. The fee was $5. Most of the wines were variations of the local grapes that we were not familiar with. We still had a nice time. The tasting room has a nice gift shop with local pottery as well.

This is a beautiful vineyard with picturesque rolling hills and lovely bar area for wine tasting. They are very generous with their wine samples. We taste about 12 wines for only $7. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you go, bring a picnic and enjoy the wonder views of the grape vines. This vineyard also hosts weddings and special events.
