first time we ever went was when the winter games were going on.they have a very cute in doors part. i loved all the stuffed animals inside and the birds. once we were done with that we went into the kids part where they have a little petting zoo. I love petting zoo's and I'm an adult =) . they had lots of cute little activities going on for the kids and everyone was very friendly. we went on the winter medallion hunt and that was a blast!! they had all of them hiding out and around the out part of the zoo. all the winter animals were out and we could get so up close to them. the eagles were beautiful!! to me its more like a wild life nature reserve then an actual zoo. My kids loved it and i Loved it and we will be getting a summer pass when it warms up a bit more. good times!!! Great zoo for such a small town.

This a great zoo! The different types of animals are great. This is a really clean, well-kept place. It is very accessible for all. It is educational and just a lot of fun! I love to go and relax and enjoy. Watertown should be very proud of this gem!

When I first walked in, I was not very impressed. The place looked like it needed some work. As I continued walking around I was impressed with collection of animals they have. Yes, the place is dated and could use a lot of work. One thing about smaller zoos is you can typically get closer to the animals and get up and close. The views of the bald eagle and other predatory birds was awesome. I can not remember the last time I could up so close and personal outside of a bird show. Downside is the exhibits look small and are a throwback to the 60's and 70's. If you are in the area, it is worth a couple of hours to stop in for a visit. It is great for kids for about 1 or 2 hour visit and you probably can see 90% of the zoo.

I have been going to the Bramble Park Zoo since it consisted of a few monkeys, deer, pheasants and small animals where we parked beside the cages and would get out and feed them. It is totally incredible how the zoo has grown, improved and become such a wonderful attraction in Watertown. Every time we go, there is something new and different. Love it all but watching the bears sit on the seats and eat at the table is great fun.

The best zoo in South Dakota as it has attractions every member of your family will enjoy seeing! The staff are very knowledgeable, the zoo is clean and easy to walk!

My mother and I took my 3 kids and we all had a blast. There was so much to see! We enjoyed a show and fed the barn animals! I just wish I knew the white tiger had died 2 years ago. The website still has a picture of that tiger as the main page, a little deceiving.

I use to take my kids here all the time but as they have gotten bigger they have lost interest and would much rather go to the one in Sioux Falls. I think this one is great for families with younger kids

Anyone of any age will be delighted with this up close and personal zoo experience. We have had friends and relatives from large cities(and zoo experience), come to Bramble Park Zoo and come away absolutely delighted! They love how 'close' you can get to the animals, the cleanliness, friendliness, native grasses and plants, and the fact it is not so huge you have to spend a whole day there. Our grandchildren 'beg to go'. They are building a new children's area; which looks like it will continue to enhance this zoo's experience.

Our first visit in 2010 was hampered by some rain, so we stopped in again. We are glad we stopped in as the zoo was filed with new live. There were young lemurs, monkeys, tigers, among many other younglings. All of the exhibits were thriving with wildlife and the flora. The zoo is well mapped out making it easy for guests to get around. There hasn’t been a lot of noticeable updates since out last visit but it looked like some were on the way. The zoo seems to be a little older, so you will find more small exhibits and less naturalistic exhibits. The Australian exhibit is the best quality naturalistic exhibit, but it too is a little aged and could do for a sponsor or two to fix it up. The gift shop could use some more banded products for tourists that are into those types of things, we’ve been there twice and still don’t have a magnet on our fridge from Bramble Park. This zoo makes for a great rest stop between Sioux Falls and Fargo or a great morning for a family to enjoy the natural world.

A very nice small town zoo that brings the animal viewing close to the visitors. New additions are under construction which will make the zoo even better especially for the kids when the new petting zoo is completed.

A favorite activity in Watertown for people of all ages. We've gone to the Bramble Park Zoo for years and it just keeps getting better and better!

Bramble Park Zoo is an outstanding zoo. All of the animal exhibits have been built with the animal's natural habitat taken into considertion. Wide variety of exhibits including some larger animal exhibits. This park and zoo is located in an area that is shaded by mature tall trees so it is not out in the hot sun. Very creative in their exhibits and activities. They have a beautiful visitor/education center. They have an area where you can have a picnic right there in the park. Make a day of it! The kids will love it. I would say that the Bramble Park Zoo is actually the nicest zoo within a 100 mile radius.

My granddaughter, daughter in law, and I visited the zoo on a Sunday. We enjoyed it and found the animals to be well cared for. We stayed for the special petting presentation at 2 pm. which all the kids loved. For a small town zoo, this has many big animal exhibits you would expect to see in a large city. This is great place to visit.

Bramble Zoo offers visitors a delightful experience in a smaller well-maintained space in the city. From exotic fish and birds to bison and reindeer, there are plenty of sights and sounds to explore and educate. It is a perfect place to spend for families and individuals to spend an afternoon.

We loved how we could get eye to eye clise with all the animals!!! Only bad thing we encountered were the bees!
