we enjoyed visiting the science center. This is a real gem in Greenville. Can't wait to go back and see the telescope. Good for kids and adults. Go late on Friday night yo see the shows. Very good.

I have lived here for over 4 years and never knew about this place. Went for the first time last weekend. I loved it. The show is great and we were able to see Jupiter through the giant telescope. So much fun.

As the host site and recipient of half of the funds raised, we thank you for visiting Holiday Lights. However, Holiday Lights is an independent non-profit entity with their own site on Trip Advisor, etc. I'm sure they would appreciate your posting your review on their site.

As the site host and a recipient of half of the funds raised by Holiday Lights, we appreciate your visit. A unique asset to the school system and general public, the Science Center offers wonderful programs. And a fun place to visit.

My family and I have a membership to the Roper Mountain Science Center. We always have a great time at the Second Saturday events and on Starry Nights when we go. Some Second Saturdays seem a bit repetitive and there may not be a lot going on, but the big special events really make up for it! This is such a great facility and since we're a homeschooling family, it's a wonderful tool for a science lessons.

Love the lights at Christmas time. It is a neat setup where you can basically just drive through if you choose, or park and walk around. great for parents with you kids, you can see the lights without too much hassle. They also have a cool since center and planetarium.

I have visited Roper Mountain with my 8th graders for standard based field trips. They are very organized and easy to work with in the planning. I personally have taken advantage of the teacher workshops offered in the summer time that are EXCELLENT in content information. Outside of school there are so many things to do on the mountain in relation to every type of science. Bring the entire family and it is reasonable. Check out the website for events.

Great learning experience for the little ones. The adults will love the large telescope. It's one of the largest in the US.

We have enjoyed Roper Mountain in many ways over the last few years. Second Saturdays are always lots of fun, their living history farm is great, and we recently did Starry Nights for the first time. I was amazed at how good the show was! We learned all about the night sky right now, looked at the constellations that can be found, and then saw a fun, educational planetarium show geared towards kids (the later show sounded like it was geared towards older audiences). My 7 year old loved it! We even got access the their huge telescope, but since we were at the early show and it is summer, the skies weren't dark enough yet to see much. We will definitely return when it gets dark earlier!

Thank you for your interest and you message. We very much regret your extended wait in line for tickets on Friday night and apologize for the inconvenience. We recently implemented a new system which allows us to accept credit cards, but unfortunately, slows the process because of the required printing of receipts and tickets. We are working to make the on-site ticket sales more efficient and we also encourage advance online ticket purchase both to speed your check-in and to guarantee your admission. We are also setting up digital message displays to let people know when a show sells out. Meanwhile, if you will contact me at 355-8937, we would like to offer you free tickets for a future show.

So many cool things all year round! During school at certain times of the night you can go and look through the observatory telescope at the stars. During summer kids can go to summer camp, it's so much fun, they can do anything from animal to space camp. At Christmas time they have a light show set up that you drive through. It's an amazing place!
