I went to the grand opening party one year ago and have been several times since including the one year anniversary party and it delivers every time. Firstly the beer-what a great selection of beer. You can tell each ounce of beer is made with passion and a commitment to produce a great taste. There is a wide selection of beers and there always to seems to be a special batch of something to try. It is fun to talk to the staff clearly they are knowledgable and care about what they are doing. You can tell each beer is made with careful consideration of flavors and there is use of local ingredients. There is a commitment to cleanliness as well which shows in the freshness of the beer. Secondly the atmosphere-filled with fun staff, typically a food truck or two, perhaps a live band, corn hole, and other fellow fun patron. You don't have to just be into beer to have an amazing time. I have several friends who either don't drink (great to bring for DD purposes) or don't drink beer (not sure why they are my friends) but clearly they enjoy a day at Brewery 85 just as much as I do. I would encourage to make small talk with staff or other guests as you always seem to learn a little bit more about beer or just hear a great story or two. Also there seems to be special events and beer launches on a frequent basis which are always fun. I seem to leave every time with some merchandise including the goblets which have become my favorite way to drink beer at home. I heard they have plans in the near future to can beer which will be a nice addition to finding the beer on tap in restaurants throughout the Upstate. I am a big fan of the Quittin Time, Yeoman Brown, and 864 (new favorite since my last visit) but I have been beyond pleased with all the options.

I found out about this place a few months ago and their beers have become one of my favorites. They are innovative and always trying new, different, and exciting things. However, if this does not interest you their classics are always a home run. My favorites are quittin' time and yeoman's brown, but I have never tried something that I didn't like. They are located right off I 85 and are initially a little hard to find, but they have good signage and once you are there it is definitely hard to leave. The tap room is always very cool offering fun events like tours, bands, food trucks, and corn hole tournaments. The staff is super nice and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. If you are looking for a good time with great beer this is your place.

Brewery 85 is a great place to go have a few drinks after work. I have been impressed with each and every beer they have brewed. At times they have one of the local food trucks out front and recently have started having live music out back on their patio with a fire going in the fire pit. The owners and the rest of the staff aer always super friendly and they put a passion into everything they make. Definately a must go to place!

On the advice of a friend, a co worker and I stopped by this small but hospitable brewery for a beer before heading home after work this past Thursday. Much to our surprise the two beers we tried were two of the most tasty, crisp yet flavorful beers we've ever tasted. The small bar featured a great view of the large silver kegs and brewing apparatus, a few well-loved and well- behaved family dogs, and a stellar couple who own the place and brew the beer. These two people love what they do and it shows in the personal, friendly conversation they have with each person who comes through the door as well as in the care they take in making their beer. All local ingredients, they will share their passion and knowledge with you as you drink. Great great beer! We will never enter a Greenville restaurant from now on without first asking if they serve Brewery 85 beer. It would serve our local eateries if they serve this beer.

It's a tiny brewery off of 85 and away from downtown Greenville, but it's got a lot of heart. The owner personally gives the tours and his passion for his product is incredibly evident. The beer is great, and the atmosphere is light and nice!
