Spartanburg is a wonderful cultural community. The cultural center has all kinds of events and activities there - including, theater, dance, orchestra, science center, art. Everyone in Spartanburg is very proud of this extraordinary facility.

Ballet, dance classes, symphony, plays, art shows, a museum and cafe... and I'm sure I'm missing something. Great institution and well supported, a little bit of a surprise for a smaller town like Spartanburg

We didn't know about this place until our hotel recommended we go for a visit. It was so nice! It's 2 buildings full of art, dance and more! There's even a concert hall, which we did not go into. But the rest of the displays was incredible!!

This is the best place in town to go and see art of all kinds by professionals from near and far, or even the local schoolchildren all in one location. The Cultural Center is made up of three buildings arrayed around a plaza. The buildings are beautiful, clean, new, and spaces function well for their purposes. Catch a play, or sometimes an interesting movie in the theater. There is not a bad seat in the house. Sometimes there are displays or events in the large theater lobby area, too. The art museum has ever-changing exhibits and installations throughout. I never go there without looking to see what is new and interesting there. The history museum always has a special exhibit for us repeat visitors that is something to look forward to, but for first time visitors they have wonderful exhibits that tell the story how this area came to be and it and its people have evolved over time. Dance and art classes are offered in the other building there. I always look to what is going on at the Chapman when guests are coming to town, but we go there at least every 1-3 weeks for something to see or do throughout the year. A lot of what is there is free or minimal cost. Sundays are free. There is a fair amount of parking at the outer flanks of the buildings, and a free city garage across the street.

This is a very nice theater. My son and I have seen a few plays here and it is enjoyable. The people are super friendly, the seats comfortable and even the drinks are reasonably priced! Since it is very small you get a great view from every seat. A really nice, albeit small, theater! I definitely recommend!

Worth a visit to learn about Spartanburg history. Interesting for kids also. Helpful personnel available for questions.

This is a beautifully designed building. Location is not great but for locals it's an easy find. We have attended musical and theatrical performances here. Seating and acoustics are excellent. Would like to see some more recognized true theatre troupes visit bringing more of a broadway flavor.

The Chapman Cultural Center is truly a wonderful place. The building facilities are amazing. However, the shows that I have seen here have been incredible. My husband and I are season subscribers now so that we do not miss any of the shows. It is always a lovely evening at the Chapman no matter what the occasion to visit.

We like to go here to see live stage shows, especially musicals. The theater is nice and new feeling. Ticket prices are quite reasonable and readily available on line. Then just show up, pick them up and go on in. Free parking nearby too.

We saw the Science Center on the ASTC website and decided to stop in. It was a quick stop as this is more of a science room plus some stuffed and real animals. What's here is fun. Hey, they have a hat monograph! However, we probably won't come back. However, we walked next door to the history museum and loved it. Great stories, interesting displays, knowledgeable volunteer. A great find!

The wife and I have seen a couple of plays here. The shows were great and the venue very nice. Downside, the seats can be a squeeze, but most places do try to pack in as many seat as possible. I will say that there is not a bad seat in the house. Another plus, no extra charges for ordering tickets online.

This facility is fairly new and offers concerts and plays for local talent. I saw the Spartanburg Community Band Christmas Concert. Excellent acoustics in the auditorium along with great symphonic music! There's a museum featuring local artifacts and several art galleries. Great place to take a family!

The versatility of the plays, the outstanding appeal of the local art and pottery displays, and the interesting, amazing science taught by John Green makes the Chapman Cultural Center a must visit for daytime and night time enjoyment.

The Chapman Cultural Center offers something for everyone--music, fine art, crafts, history, science, theatre, and dance. The physical structure is beautiful, a wonderful enhancement to downtown Spartanburg. The galleries are spacious and well-lit, and the theatre is comfortable. The CCC is bringing in an acoustician to raise the level of the acoustics, which will only make an audio experience there better. Spartanburg is lucky to have a state of the art venue such as the Chapman Center!
