This is a very nice course, well maintained, scenic, and a pleasure to play. It is, however in the grand scheme of things, about average as decent courses go. I like it, but I can't think of much to recommend it. Especially when you can jump across the state line (10 miles) and be experiencing world-class golf.

It is easy to get on and the greens are in good shape. The sand traps are terrible and the rough is inconsistent. The prices are good.

The staff is great. The conditions are terrible. No matter what the price, it is not worth it !My grandmother ( age 88 ) moves faster than the golf carts. Overall conditions very bad.

If you want to see what a true goat track looks like - play Waterford. It is hard to imagine that it could get much worse. An off-the-road vehicle is required just to negotiate the pot holes in the cart paths.The course needs absolutely everything repaired, replaced, replanted just to get it to below average! I pity the Waterford Glenn property owners who will take the real hit as the bad course conditions get reflected in their home values.

Waterford has gone from the area's premier course to one of the worse. The owners have continuously taken money out of the course without putting any back into it. Many days you'll not see any workers on the course. There have been stories on the news about the workers not being paid at many of the company's area courses. It's not unusual to find weeds growing in some of the bunkers, most of which need work. There are pot holes in the cart paths, bridges that need repair, and carts that need maintenance or replacement. They have had to lower their prices due to the courses's poor condition.

I play here a lot. Good design, challenging shots. Conditions are less than perfect- playable but not manicured. Greens are good, bunkers not so good.

Waterford is player friendly layout, most holes are gentle left to right which is what most players hit. The greens are bermuda and can be both firm and fast, which makes scoring a challenge. Green fees are reasonable. If you haven't played this course, you really should put it on your list.
