York was a very cute little town. We went there after an outing in Brattonsville where there was a lot to learn about the Revolutionary War. We ate at a cute tearoom on the main street of York. Delicious food--I had a seafood salad and homemade cookies. The waitress gave lots of good information on antiquing.

Mark, the owner of the B&B recommended this antique store and we got the most amazing finds there. The store is huge and we stayed in there for hours!

The Olde English District is nice for antiquing and for a brief weekend getaway-- but be forewarned that many shops (and some restaurants) are closed for the entirety of the weekend. I would suggest a drop through some of the District, but don't expect it to fill up your entire day (unless you linger very, very slowly).

In Chester, SC there are not enough options to take advantage of in the district, because most establishments are closed on the weekends. The few we visited on Saturday were good.
