On our way back to Seattle after a brewery tour in Vancouver, we were looking for a nice stop for an American made beer. On a Thursday night, this place was packed. Great selection and a food truck outside.

Very friendly atmosphere. Family friendly outside the bar proper. Dog friendly outside. Food truck or two if you want a meal. There are also local restaurants within walking distance. And the beer is very good.

Stopped here on a Saturday for a leisurely beer and a midday snack. Friendly service that easily met the needs of the eighty or so people present. Good selection of delicious beers on tap made in house. My wife Whois very selective as to what beer she likes loved the red ale. Food cart gave us a wonderful selection of gyros, hamburgers, hotdogs or a shrimp dish with kale and grits. Three people in the cart hustled out the just cooked food.

Kulshan is a newer brewery to Bellingham and I think it far exceeds the competition. Can sit inside or outside, tiny area to dance, and great folks. Some of the cutest hoodies I have seen at a brewery too. There is a little food truck next door too. And the IPA is awesome! Must stop on a brew tour of Bellingham!

Was traveling by train from Portland to Seattle last summer when I met a guy who told me about Kulshan Brewing. Fast forward a year and we’re in Bellingham and finally get a chance to check it out. It’s a small place, a brewery really, with a small tap room inside but a much larger outdoor seating area which was great on the sunny Saturday afternoon were there. We both usually go right for the IPA wherever we go and what a great choice it was. Excellent. There’s no on-premises food but they have rotating food vendors outside. Didn’t get the Saturday vendors name but the ruben dog I had was great, my wife didn’t feel the same way about her pumpkin soup though…. too spicy!Next time we get a chance to visit Bellingham, we’ll be back for a Kulshan IPA and maybe a growler to go.
