Walked a bit of it but it was so cold but earlier in the year would have really enjoyed the route along the Columbia River Lots of water birds

Any one who has visited Wenatchee or East Wenatchee, WA and not taken a break to walk, job, bike, or roller blade or sunbathing on a multiple of beaches, has really missed out! This is a daily must for our family to take our dogs (on leash on the path and off-leash in appropriate places along the river) throughout the year. There are even beaches with a little hike from the path that are with soft sand (watch out for those partiers!) and provide beautiful views. Along the Wenatchee side there is a campground at Confluence and a close walk to downtown to our new Pybus Market and other shopping and restaurants. Note you can take however much time you have to walk a stretch or complete the whole loop across the Columbia River. A must for anyone visiting Wenatchee!

Easy basic 10 miles with the option of making it longer all on smooth paved trail. Easy to park and walk to new Pybus Market outdoor seating restaurants for a quick coffee.

Just enjoyed a fall ride on this 10-mile paved loop that goes along a section of the Columbia River in Wenatchee. We started and ended in Wenatchee Riverfront Park, across from the Public Market, riding the loop clockwise. Saw a number of families riding, and several joggers/walkers; everyone was friendly and said hi! The western side goes through several parks and we enjoyed a picnic lunch at a table in Riverfront Park when we finished, on a grassy knoll above the river. The eastern side has more ups and downs, but still fairly easy for the novice rider. We will definitely return and do it again.

The Apple Capital Loop Trail is one of the nicest places to walk, jog, bicycle and roller blade along the Columbia River. Wenatchee and East Wenatchee should invest more into the Trail and make it as beautiful as possible. Plant more trees, and maybe even plant English ivy along the Trail will make a beautiful ground cover and spreads fast. Along the Trail it's really nice to watch people playing on the Columbia River boating, jet skiing and kayaking. There are many places to rest on the Trail and enjoy the scenery of the Columbia River. Wenatchee is a very nice place to visit every Summer and go down to the Columbia River and enjoy yourself.

The loop trail is a great way to experience the beauty of Wenatchee and the great Columbia River. Keep an eye out for bald eagles as there tend to be many around. The parks along Wenatchee's waterfront are really nice. A great place to take your kids.

Rivers meander, starting someplace else, passing through, then moving on toward the ocean. Riding a bike around a river isn't always possible, but through the work of the PUD that serves Wenatchee, one has that opportunity by following the Loop Trail, which covers both the Wenatchee and East Wenatchee sides of the river, linked by a pedestrian lane on a busy bridge and a wonderful walking lane on a pipeline bridge. My wife and I spent about one hour (1:02 by MapMyWalk) riding the loop on our old people bikes, the ones with wide seats, old style handle bars, and more gears than I can understand, remember, or use.We started our ride in the parking lot behind the Public Market, the one that is part of Walla Walla Park, the one by the boat launch, the boat launch that can't be used because of low water levels. Certainly cuts down on the trailer parking. I would recommend starting at this point because the first part of the ride, we went North, is fairly gentle, with slight ups and downs and a great path. Lots of other folks enjoying the areas, with a birthday party here, some waders down by the river, and a family picnic there. When the trail exits Walla Walla Park, it gets a bit rougher, but not so it is uncomfortable. We were able to ignore all those annoying gear changes through the first couple miles and were feeling great about our decision. We were constantly passed by those racer guys, but we're okay with that. Our first and biggest challenge was heading up to the bridge on the North End of the loop. A couple switchbacks and some very quick elevation gain made us experiment with the gears. We made in to the top, stopped, had a quick drink and then headed to the East Wenatchee side of the trail. This is probably the only part of the trip that wasn't quiet and comfortable, since it is on the highway, but separated by concrete barriers. The East Wenatchee side has more ups and downs, and fewer trees, at least on the more Northern parts. The positive trade off, however, is the elevation above the river. You're a ways up and you can see a long way. Looking regularly at the trail is advised, however, as it isn't particularly straight. Not scary curves, just tight enough you need to remember the lean maneuver. The pipeline bridge is a great view and a wonderful reminder that you're almost there. The Wenatchee side walk up to the bridge is fairly tight curves, so down is possible, but riding up would be a challenge, particularly for we older folks. One of the real positives of starting where we did is its proximity to the Public Market. A quiet lunch and a stroll through the Market topped off a great afternoon. We're talking about our next trip there. Might even learn about all those gear change things before we try it again. Maybe not.

The Apple Capital Loop Trail that lines the Columbia River in both Wenatchee and East Wenatchee is a real local asset. We go there regularly, sometimes walking and sometimes on bikes. Some of the highlights include the swimming area at Walla Walla Park, the Art on the Avenues section near the Riverwalk Bridge, the Old Pipeline Bridge, and the wooded area on the east side.Whether a local or visiting from out of town, thus is one local attraction that won't steer you wrong.

We rented bikes from Arlberg Riverfront Rentals and rode the 10 mile loop. I would have reviewed the bike rental place too but it's not on here. This is a convenient location in Pybus Public Market. Go down a ramp and start riding. What great scenery and a very enjoyable ride. Definitely a nice way to spend a few hours.

This trail far exceeded our expectations. We biked the entire 10 mile loop, paved all the way, beautiful scenery, challenging enough in a few spots to get the heart rate going yet overall a very easy ride.I wish we had this where I live.

Congrats Wenatchee - this is very well done! Wonderful ride along the river, great views, plenty of places to stop and rest, excellent amenities (i.e. bathrooms). This is a real treasure in the city. And plenty long enough and challenging enough for some real exercise if you want it, or just take a ride in the park!

The trail is full of nice people and the entire experience is always outstanding. The trail is well maintained and easy to use for walking, biking or running. Beautiful scenery along the river makes it magical.

Very nicely kept walk .. but is 11 miles, not the 87.9 stated on the Trip Advisor site. The walk is mostly right along river with some art sculptures and garden spots along the way. DON'T PAY TO PARK IN Wenatchee Confluence State Park parking lots ... there are plenty of public parking areas, contrary to what the people at the State Park will tell you ... Walla Walla Point Park and Wenatchee Riverfront Park, which are both right on the Columbia River in downtown Wenatchee. A lot of wildlife and birds along trail in the spring. Fun way to 'get out' when staying in a hotel!

One of the best river walks I have ever seen. Clean and well taken care of. Heavily used so watch out for lots of bikes. Also watch out for the goose poop in the Spring.

We went over the mountain to find some fall leaves and to walk this beautiful trail. It is a long one - 10 miles. But you get to walk along the Columbia River in well maintained parks and on paved walkways. It was a very easy walk and is family friendly. Bike riders also use this trail so you do need to be mindful, but it was a terrific area to really stretch your legs!
