The kids like playing at the playground of dreams and the water spray park is nice for little ones. My son likes to ride his bike and there are places to walk as well

This is a great place to go with family both young & old. Playground of Dreams gives the kids a variety of items to play on along with the water feature when the days are warm.

Nice place to take the family for the day. Getting back to nature in the city is always nice. Easy access from all of the Tri-Cities.

Whether you are a jogger, runner, or walker, this is a great park along the river! It is well lit (most of it") and it just winds around the river. Get out and do something!

This park is along the river and is a nice place to go for a walk with your dog. It was pretty near the hotel we stayed at.

The river looked so nice and the bridge was. Beautiful. I would love to come here on my free time and just walk around and have a good time

Great place to walk along the Columbia River. There was also a very nice play area for children. Was also a small golf course there.

There are decent walking trails and great big trees if you want to find a place to cuddle or read a book. Right on the water, so lunchtime napping is great. Play area is fun for kids. On the other hand, I feel this park is disjointed. The park in Richland is so consistent. - this one seems to stop and start as you drive or bike. Sometimes green, sometimes sagebrush/wild bush. Big trees, then almost no trees. Bike path thru trees then ends and you ride on the street. Almost like a bunch of little parks joined simply because a road passes thru them all...maybe they should plan it that way and let groups adopt a mini-park....

I commend the tri-city area for all the parks along the rivers including this one. Whether you are walking or biking or want some place to take small children, this is a great park.

Great river front park, lacks a lot of things but it is improving. Funding needs to continue to be put into it to make it better

Depending on when you visit, Columbia Park has several activities for kids! The fishing pond requires an adult to be accompanied by a child in order to fish. The J&S Railroad runs in the summer months too. The play structures will keep any child busy for hours. And when its hot outside, there are zero depth water play structures. Geese will greet you with hunger, and this park follows the length of the river for a couple of miles. If you are looking for a relaxing place to have a picnic and let the kids run, or fly a kite, this is not the place to be during the Columbia Cup hydroboat races! The terrain is mostly very level and flat. In summer, you can find dozens of kites flying, and people walking their dogs. Outside of the boat race weekend, admission and parking are completely free.
